We got this to store clothing that did not fit in the closets. We assembled it last week, and took three days sorting, freshening, and arranging clothes, hanging them to avoid wrinkles. All ladies clothes, mostly lightweight summer dresses and jumpsuits. This morning, loud crash from the other room. the top center support bar (plastic) is broken, one end of the hanger bar is crinkled and twisted, the other hanger bar has pulled loose and dumped all the clothes and hard work in the floor of the unit. Absolutely LOVE...Wasn't cheaply made like every stupid garment rack we all have bought at box stores that dall over or fall apart..This is huge with tons of room..looks like a showroom piece..Put it together in 20 minutes alone..love the cover..zippers all work fantastic..protects clothes but can still see what's inside... Shoes fit nicely on bottom and light storage on top... Love so much..especially for the money $..Ordered a second one due to arrive tomorrow..     • Good buy, they need to make the bottom of the plastic longer.
I love the fact that I can keep my out of control closet ( 5 in total) in this additional storage! This is my third Whitmor Extra wide Clothes Closet I buy. I wish they would make them longer in the bottom so you can tuck the bottom to avoid dust entering the closet. I figured it out that if you use a soft plastic hammer to tap the vertical posts you can make it slightly less tall so you can tuck & tape the plastic underneath, which is what I did with the help of my housekeeper. We also taped the vertical connectors & the plastic tucked underneath. You can also used locks in the closets, which is what I did when I had my house fumigated recently as I had a bad experience with missing things with a previous fumigation. Al in all, I am satisfied with the purchase. They held up even though I have a fairly good amount of clothes stored in them although I do not use it to store heavy items or coats. I hope the manufacturers make the plastic longer to keep dust out. ... show more

Update 7/20/21 Totally collapsed. Don't bother unless you're only storing a small amount of items. This WILL NOT hold up long term for winter clothing. Update 3/23/21 Only a few weeks in and I'm already noticing issues. The closet is leaning forward even more so and I'm having difficulty finding a solution without puncturing holes into the cover. I've also caught a couple of flies buzzing around in there so I'm about to tape the bottom. I don't know what else to do. Original review: I looked around quite a bit before purchasing this closet. I wanted a completely plastic cover as this will be living in my garage. It is a great size and fits right where I need it. It holds SO MUCH STUFF! I currently have about 30 items hanging and still have space for more. As you can see I have everything from summer dresses to coats. I also purchased decorative paper boxes for my shoes, scarves, and extra sweaters. It is very lightweight and easy to move around, yet I am concerned about long term durability. What I don't like about this closet is that the top is just fabric. I'm a bit concerned about moths, bugs, or just weather wear. My garage is covered but there are some openings along the roof. This closet is also leaning forward quite a bit. I'm going to have to get braces to mount it to the wall. My cat keeps getting on it too which already has a couple of holes but that's not the company's fault. ... show more

It collapsed in a month, it has NO DURABILITY OR STURDINESS! I'M VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AND BECAUSE THE RETURN WINDOW IS CLOSED I'AM STUCK WITH IT.

    • Decent unit.
Overall this is a decent unit for the money. The only things I have a problem with are it is not completely enclosed, it has about a 3 inch gap between the bottom and the cover, and the poles could have been a little thicker for more durability.
