  • Fit like shoes are supposed to fit!
Size: 8 Color: Grey Gum
First things first as there's a lot of misconception out there on 'barefoot shoes' FYI- This particular style is not Barefoot or a Minimalist shoe! Please understand that before you order. And .. use their size guide and measure your feet as recommended in order to get the proper fit. Barefoot shoes: -zero drop -No cushioning; very thin sole for maximum ground feel *you can actually feel the ground through your feet. -Minimal protection from ground hazards -Extremely flexible to mimic barefoot movement -Designed to REPLICATE the experience of being barefoot -wide toe box and more natural fit to match the natural foot. MINIMALIST Shoes: - zero-8mm drop -minimal cushioning vs NO cushioning like the barefoot -flexible, but a slightly thicker sole then a barefoot -it sits between a barefoot and traditional shoes. This particular style (zero drop wide toe box road shoe) fits the foot as shoes should fit the foot, with a natural wide toe box. The shoe itself is not a wide fit. It has a very stiff sole and insole even compared to my New Balance zero drop walking sneaker (minimalist and barefoot shoes do not have stiff soles) While the base of the sole is non slip it's a harder material that does not appear to absorb shock. If you're looking for a shoe to absorb impact on your joints, this may not be the correct shoe. *I am not a runner and never have been, so I am not sure how these would perform for running as they are titled as a roadrunning shoe. Very attractive shoe and the material is a breathable fabric. It's not designed for outdoor cold winter weather. I purchased these with the intent to wear them as a zero drop training shoe at F45 however the insole and outer soul is stiff that it may not absorb impact, I prefer to slightly feel the ground doing weight lifting / squat type movements. With that being said, I will stick with Merrell Minimalist shoes for training and will try these on the pickleball court. Update 28days later: I find the shoe very comfortable for walking and everyday wear! I did wear the shoe during an F45 workout and I didn't like it. There was no lateral support from the arch to the toe box, the soul was too thick putting my feet too high from the ground which resulted in me not having much control and the shoe did not flex the way I prefer for doing lunges. ... show more

  • great shoe! Been wearing daily for 6 months, still comfy and cute.
Size: 11 Color: Purple
I bought them in sept of 24 and they are still holding up. There is wear and tear, but they are still comfortable and supportive. The sole is flexible and the toe box is wide, BUT this is NOT a wide shoe in the traditional sense. If you are someone who would typically buy a "wide" this is not the one for you. I wear them on concrete daily and have not had any foot pain as there is enough sole (unlike most wide toe box shoes on the market as they are usually barefoot or minimalist-- which I did not want). ordering a couple pairs in other colors. ... show more

  • Good value
Size: 7 Color: Black
These shoes were very inexpensive. They have a wide toe box that lets your toes move around and they are zero drop which means that they are not higher in the back than they are in the front... they are essentially flat. This is said to be better for your foot because you don't strike the ground with your heel as much. There is no arch support in these, but again, that is part of the "barefoot" concept. This type of shoe lets your foot do the work, which makes them stronger and more flexible. This should lead to less pain and injury. However if you are not used to this type of shoe and have weak feet, you can injure yourself. I have had plantar fasciitis and did not want to ever go through that again, so I have been doing exercises to strengthen my foot and raise the arch. I decided I was ready to try this style shoe, but didn't want to spend $150 in case it turned out that this was not for me. These were a good place to start. They are lightweight, comfortable and doing their job in my cardio workouts. The materials they are made of seem a little cheap (hence the four stars), but for the price they work. ... show more

  • Cute for minimalistic shoes
Size: 5 Color: White
Great shoes! These are my second pair of Whitin shoes and I have to say they have great products. My old pair of shoes were not this exact model, but they lasted me more than 2 years. I like that these shoes have a little more cushion on the sole but they are still minimalistic and zero drop. The toe box is spacious but does not look comically big like some wide shoes look. They are also supper comfy and breathable, which I like ... show more

  • Excellent lightweight wide toe sneakers!
Size: 8.5 Color: All Black
I can't believe that these shoes are less than $50! They seem to be of a very high quality. Super lightweight. Nice and wide through the toes. The sole is dense foam and not overly cushy - which I like - but plenty enough foam to cushion your heel during heel strike. The insole is removable for cleaning and it is a very nice insole. One can order replacements if necessary. I LOVE these shoes! I've already hiked over 9 miles on rocky uneven ground and I just can't say enough wonderful things about these shoes! Interestingly, I ordinarily wear a 40 but in these, the 41 was the proper size for me. ... show more

  • Favorite sneakers
Size: 7 Color: Black
These have become my favorite sneakers—and just bought a third pair (for storage, in case they’re no longer available when I need them). Well made, durable (I ask a lot of my sneakers!), look great on, and very comfortable on my toes. Not sure about the zero drop feature as I use arch supports. They are great at the gym and at home, and I can walk all day in these with no discomfort or foot tiredness. Laces are very long, but that’s good if you double knot them. ... show more

  • Not Fantastic, but Not Bad.
Size: 8 Color: Grey Gum
This shoe has a nice, wide toe box. It's similar to an Altra. I find it great for keeping my Morton's neuroma from hurting. However, the heels are also very wide, so my heels wiggle around. The right shoe is also a bit smaller than the left. Definitley not a user thing, as my right foot is actually smaller than my left! Finally, there is very little arch support. I used my Power Step orthotics, and that was perfect. I wore them to the grocery store, to do a strength workout, and to do 5 minutes on my mini trampoline. Good for the first 2 activities, not so comfortable for the third. So, an OK walking shoe, gym shoe, but not a shoe for anything high impact. ... show more
