  • Fantastic for storing sketches on 4x6 note cards
I don't actually store photos in this -- I use it for 4x6 note cards. Specifically, I keep a stack by my desk to sketch on while I do my homework, and file them away in this photo album. Otherwise bits of paper with doodles and figure drawings get everywhere. Point being, though, I can't really speak to the potential for photo discoloration, and I don't know and frankly don't care whether the paper is actually archival quality. That said, I really like this album. It's cheap, durable, and a good size to store in my desk, the color looks great, and my sketches are easy to insert and don't fall out or anything. The paper and covers feel nice. It's not like the expensive leatherbound archival photo albums my mom uses, but it's nice for my cheapskate student needs. At two sketches per page, I fill this up fast enough that it feels satisfying, but there's still a lot of room left. There's a small section of page with printed lines by each photo slot where you can write labels. If you shuffle your photos around a lot, you might not like this, since it does take up some space. There's also no window on the spine to label the album, and it's hard to find sticky labels that will actually stick to the fabric, so if you desperately want to label your photo albums on the spine I would look elsewhere. When this album arrived, it had a distinctive glue-ish odor. I set it on a shelf for a day or so before putting anything in, and the smell hadn't totally dissipated by then, but... close. Now that it's been lying around in my house for a few months I can't smell it at all. ... show more

  • Very nice photo album, nice enough to use for a photo album gift. Good quality.
We've recently begun having photos printed to create photo albums, going "old school". Digital is fantastic as a storage medium and editing, but there's just something nice about being able to sit down and flip through a photo album. As part of the project we needed inexpensive but nice quality photo albums - these are just what we were looking for! The outside of the album is soft fabric, quality look, with a clear window for a photo or album info. The pages are easy to fill and there's space on the side of each photo for memos/photo info. What's REALLY nice about these albums is how the pages are bound in the cover like a book - no spiral binding or rings. This makes flipping through the album really easy, no pages getting caught/stuck on binder rings. The albums are available in a variety of colors, which is nice for organizing albums - or to just add a splash of color to a shelf or bookcase. The nice binding on the back of the album gives a clean look when the album(s) are stored upright on a shelf. For the price these are fantastic photo albums, so glad we found them. Will definitely be ordering more! Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Well made photo album
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Chose it because of the bright color. Received it in good time. Well built booklet and is sturdy to carry around. The pockets are more set for a landscape format. Two can fit on one page. A vertical 4 x 6 photo can fit only one per page. So we put all of them in a landscape format. So the album will have to be turned around for viewing it. Otherwise, the album is great, handy to carry and holds an adequate number of photos. Will buy again if a chance comes up. ... show more

  • Photo album
I love this size and the linen texture. I’m redoing our old magnetic style albums and this photo pocket album with journal area is making the switch super easy. The quality seems really well.

  • Great Photo Album at a great price
I purchased this photo album because it had such good reviews. Plus, I really have not organized my photos...(shame...) The size is ok. Not too big or small but well...it is ok. The color is nice and it is nice that you can put a photo in the front. I still have not figured out what to put. It is easy to put the photos. I like the fact that the plastic does not stick. I had products where the plastic would stick to the photo later :( There is some plastic smell...Not sure...may be it is just mine. I put in all my pictures and I still have so many pages to fill :D It is really nice to put pictures in photo albums like old times. These days it is mostly digital which is good but old school photo albums are also nice as well- Look forward to taking more photos and printing some and filling the album :D ... show more

  • Nice basic photo album
Wanted to buy a baby book/album for my newborn son, but most were $30 and up. This one is simple and easy to slide 4x6 photos in. Each photo also has a memo space next to it to put the date or whatever caption you'd like. Satisfied with the look and the price. Could easily be embellished and made to look cuter if you're a crafty person with a hot glue gun. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT IN ALL RESPECTS !
Bought three of these for family wedding photos, at a cost of around $12 each. They have a clear plastic permanent protective layer around the outside cover that does NOT get removed, and plastic bagging outside of that (which you cut open and remove when unpacking). The "odor" that others have noticed is not a big deal. It's not that strong, and after you cut open the outside bagging and leave the album open for an hour or two, no more odor. Inserting the 4 x 6 photos is QUICK and EASY. No peeling anything back, and no alignment problems. The pages have midpoint internal constraints so you just slip the photos right in. You can easily replace the "flower" on the outside cover with a photo of your own. That's done via the back side of the front cover. The one disadvantage (which I have not solved) -- I want to put a copy of the wedding invitation on Page 1, but there is no way to attach a vertical sheet of paper to the album's pages. All I can think of is scotch tape or dabbing glue or paste on the back of the invitation. ... show more
