If you’re like me, you’ve got fairly wide feet, and your whole life, you’re been trying to squeeze your wide feet into “normal” sized shoes that tend to be narrow with tiny toe boxes. This unfortunate circumstance has led me to now have feet where my big toe slants inward toward the rest of my toes along with the pinky toe doing the same. While I was a fan of the Vibram 5 Finger barefoot shoes when they first came out in the 2010s, I’ve come to want barefoot shoes that simply look normal. These fit the bill well. With a decent price and comfort beyond what I expected, I think I’ll be wearing these until they are worn down. How long they last is the next question.

My favorite show has always been the Vans oldskool style but after trying my 1st pair of Whitin shoes, I've been gradually making the switch to wearing mainly these type of shoes and finally, after owning like 5 pairs of different styles, they released this one which has a close enough look to that beloved style I've always liked. My only complaint is that this is the first time I've found a pair of these shoes not as comfortable with the stock insole. The shoe doesn't seem to be tall enough in toe box area cause I can feel all the bulky edges from the upper interior of the shoe and after a little bit it starts to bother me quite a lot. Thankfully the shoe works well without the insoles, so I just took those out and it immediately solved the problem, so keep that in mind when buying these. The overall size is the right fit, and the same as my other Whitin shoes, but the skimmer design on the toe box height, or maybe the not as flexible canvas, may require you to remove the insoles.

I have been a barefoot shoe believer for 3 years but have never been able to find a pair that fit well and didn’t look nerdy. I’ve had astrals, feel grounds, and merrells. I work on boats so I can be barefoot most of the time and honestly I just settled for wide vans because I hated how barefoot shoes looked or shoes like Lems didn’t really have the barefoot features I was looking for. I found these 2 months ago and now have a white pair and black pair. First I have pretty wide feet with splayed toes so the wide fit was a necessity. ORDER THE WIDE. I found that my pinky toes felt ever so squished but after removing the insole these have been perfect. Last I will say that after wearing these I’ve never had a pair of shoes that so many people come up to me and ask what they are because they love the way they look. Great product at 1/4 or the price of most other minimalist shoes. I hope the never stop making them

I bought these as a recommendation to help with my foot pain that has been debilitating me for the past year. I work retail and walk on concrete floors all day. I've had to use a walking cast for days when my foot has hurt so bad. Put these on and have been able to actually walk at work with minimal discomfort for the first time today. First pair of minimalist shoes, but certainly won't be my last.

I think the shoe looks nice, feels nice, and is priced way better than their competitors. Unfortunately, the sizing is off by at least a half-size. I wear a size 12 and the 12s I got fit closer to an 11. I'm not sure if the sizing issue is systemic or random but you may want to order a half-size up.

If you are looking for a solid barefoot feel, look elsewhere. For those who want cushioning these are great. But even with the insoles removed the sole structure presses right on the plantar fascia, ouch for me. So if you need firm base these are definitely too soft.

First pair was too small, but after exchanging for a bigger size, these shoes feel fantastic! (I normally wear size 43 B*stocks, so I originally ordered 43’s in this shoe, but they were way too small; I exchanged them for size 45, and now they fit perfectly!) I love that they’re lightweight and that my foot can flex in the shoes. I’ll be making some trips in the next few months, and I’m definitely taking them with me!

The shoes look absolutely great. You can wear them with nearly anything and they're going to look good. This is my 5th pair of Whitin shoes, I've loved every pair. My only warning is, they have a lot more padding around your ankle & heel then a lot of Whitin's other shoes. This means that "recommended size" they give you on the page is likely a 1/2 size too small. It definitely hurt my feet for some days, although I've just been wearing them anyway and they seem to have stretched/the padding has compacted so the fit correctly albiet still mildly tighter than I'd like. Still giving 5 stars for how great the shoes are overall though.
