Great. Just like other Whitin shoes but leather. Try treating them with mink oil!
In my opinion Whitin shoes are the best value you can find in a "Barefoot" shoe, which pretty much just means that the soles are very thin and the same thickness heel to toe. I also have VERY wide feet, and there are the only shoes I've ever really felt comfortable in. I've been pretty much only using Whitins since I first tried them about three or four years ago, and compared to other brands, especially premium ones like vivo barefoot which last half as long for 5 times the price. Keep in mind these are light duty shoes so they won't last you a lifetime, but I work construction and have a lot of intense outdoor hobbies and I usually go through a pair in about three months of constant use (I generally wear one pair for everything until they wear out, usually the sole seperates from the fabric but sometimes you might poke a big hole in the sole if you kick something sharp very hard). Now some words about this particular style. I've been hoping Whitin would make a leather shoe for a long time, but it turns out they've had these ones for years, and somehow they just went under my radar. I've only had them a few days but in terms of feel fit and construction they seem pretty much the same as any other Whitin shoe. I've seen some people debating if it is real or faux leather, and honestly I am no expert but they feel genuine to me, I think its just a pretty thin layer which might be why some people might think its faux, but all the leather is backed with a sturdy fabric. When I got the shoes they were a bit lighter than I expected, and because of the open grain (I don't know if thats the right term but its kind of like suede) they get dark in patches when wet, and get dirty easily, but I solved both problems by applying some mink oil. Im the attached photo you can see before on the right and after applying the mink oil on the left. It darkened the leather to a color that I think is much more appealing, and now they dont get wet, and its less noticeable when they are dirty. 10/10 would reccomend using mink oil on these.

Nice design. Poor comfort.
Not too comfortable due to lack of sole cushioning. I will invest in some good insoles to try to offset the discomfort. However the style and build is good. I like the design.

I love Whitins!
I'm a woman, and I had already bought 2 other styles of Whitin women's sneakers and so when I bought the women's suede duplicate of this men's shoe, I went with the same size as I got in the others, but for some reason the women's shoe felt a little too tight/small in the toe end as compared to my other purchases; I really don't know what the reason for that was unless it was just poor manufacturing? They were out of the next size up in the women's shoe, so I couldn't reorder in a different size. So I came over to this Whitin men's shoe of this exact same style (they are actually duplicates, just in men's sizing) and bought this one. The shoe I bought in women's was marked as size 40 (women's size 9W), and the one I bought in men's was also marked as size 40 (men's size 7W), and the men's shoe fit me perfectly! So I kept the men's shoes and returned the women's shoes. I also like the color I got in this men's shoe better - I got it in brown suede with white soles. Really comfortable to walk in!

Fantastic workout shoes
I've always worn Saucony Jazz Low Pro sneakers for exercise and street wear, which were great shoes, but those seem to have been discontinued. Amazon's browsing algorithm steered me toward these very cheap shoes, and surprisingly, they don't suck at all. Good materials and construction for the price - metal eyelets, thick suede, and careful stitching. They require a bit of break-in but are comfortable out of the box. You will might want to get insoles for them if you intend to do a lot of walking on hard surfaces, but for weight lifting, calisthenics, or walking unpaved trails without a pack, these roomy, minimalist shoes are exactly the thing to wear. Overall, a pleasant surprise to have picked these up. If possible, I will buy the exact same type when these wear out.

Great shoes! Price is fantastic

Great shoes, just had to replace the laces because they're too white. Wish there was a grey or olive sole version or something but otherwise the shoe itself is spectacular. Quite warm and a good price. Not so comfortable for standing all day but that's a padding issue (don't buy barefoot if you're gonna stand on hard surfaces all day). Traction is good. Best of all, if you slip on ice it's such a flat shoe that you don't lose balance or roll your ankle. As for durability we'll see. My last pair were canvas and lasted like 9 months (which is really good, that's about half as long as 200 dollar shoes last me)

fits my wide toes great and has enough insole thickness where it does not fell like a bare foot shoe like a 5fingers but still thin enough that gives feet feel
