  • Quality for price unmatched
Size: 11 Wide Color: W87 | Black White
Confession: I wore these almost every day for like two years straight before the smallest of holes started to appear right at the balls of my feet. For the price, that's pretty great considering I've had pricier shoes fall apart after less than a year. They fit perfectly, just check the size guide. A wide toe box meant my toes could spread out and weren't as cramped as some other barefoot shoes (like the ones that look more like sneakers) making them very comfy. These are obviously zero drop so no arch support, but that's kinda the point. They are lighterweight and have a more flexible sole than typical shoes, though not as lightweight and flexible as my Wildling shoes (they lasted longer tho). I really like that they look like typical shoes too, only a few people clocked them as barefoot shoes. My one tiny complaint is the laces started looking a little ratty after a while. But laces are like 3 bucks, still can't beat the price for wear time. ... show more

  • Chiropractor Approved
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: W87 | Light Grey
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, so I'm very particular with how my shoes compliment the biomechanics of the human foot. The only casual shoes that I wear now are Whitin. I can wear these shoes comfortably with or without socks. They look super cool, and they are very affordable. I have found that they hold up well. I bought this model, plus another model. I have had them for at least 6 months and I am very satisfied. What I love about Whitin shoes are the fact that they are built to allow the human foot to simply do what it was designed to do. This is accomplished in these shoes by having no incline in the heel (zero drop) so the posterior chain of your leg (calf and hamstrings) are not flexed and shortened, and by having a wide toe box so that your toes can spread out as far as they need to. A zero drop and a wide toe box allow for the proper motion of the 26 bones within the foot. When the foot moves properly, it absorbs shock. If the foot doesn't move properly, such as when you are wearing bad shoes (please note: 99% of shoes are made with an incline in the heel and a narrow toe box, and are therefore classified as bad in this doctors opinion), shock will not get absorbed by the foot as well and will get absorbed by your knees, hips, and spine, especially the low back. Whitin shoes are also great because they are minimalist and have a thin sole. This allows for greater proprioception between the brain and the feet (proprioception is the brains ability to sense where body parts are in space). In essence, when you buy shoes, you want them to mimic walking barefoot. Whitin allows for your feet to do this. I recommend these shoes to patients on a weekly basis. If you are a human and you have feet, find yourself some high-quality zero drop, wide toe box shoes like Whitins! ... show more

  • A decent pair of shoes for a reasonable price with a few things to keep in mind.
Size: 13.5 Wide Color: W872 | Black (Knit Upper)
For all intents and purposes, these are solid and 100% deliver on the whole "barefoot", wide-base, flexible, lightweigh, breathable... thing. Very comfortable. However the knit top, while a bit cheaper and still decent quality definitely gets messy pretty fast. I even combined these with some waterproofing spray which seems to have done little to combat bits of mud. Additionally, these are actually sized to European sizes, so my 13.5 was a 48... And originally I had gotten the 13s but they were too small, which is uncommon for me when I try on shoes... So these run a little smaller, might recommend sizing up a half-size. Overall would still totally recommend and I'm pleased with purchase. ... show more

  • Canvas White, Size 40 - Happy happy feet, Happy happy hobbit!
Size: 7 Wide Color: W87 | White
The product arrived exactly as described and expected. Delivery was very fast, the shoes were well-packaged, clean, undamaged, and defect-free. I ordered according to the size chart for this model, and the sizing was spot on! For reference, the insole is strikingly similar to the Altra Lone Peak 9+ size 40 (Women’s version), which is a great fit for wider feet. Consumer profile for context (if helpful for comparison): - Female - Extra wide feet, wide midfoot, medium-to-high instep - Foot shape: oriental-Greek (preferring a more “square” toe box rather than sloped) - Foot length: 24.5–25 cm | Width: 10–10.5 cm - Preference: a bit of room in front of the toes — making size 40 a perfect fit - Currently 7 months into a “transition to barefoot shoes” — mostly focused on wide shoes with a wide toe box, zero-drop or minimal elevation, and not too thin soles I personally replaced the original laces with elasticated ones for easy slip-on/off use and swapped the insoles with leather+hemp ones I already owned. Note on fit: I purchased from the Men’s section intentionally, as men's shoes usually offer a wider toe box and wider midfoot, while women's models tend to combine a wider toe box with a narrower midfoot and heel. If you have a narrow midfoot and heel, this model might feel slightly wide in those areas — especially if worn with thin socks or none. Additional comments: - The sole is not slippery. - Very versatile — easy to customize (change laces, paint, dress up or down). - I can’t yet speak to durability, but for the price paid, I’d consider 3–4 months of use a fair return in terms of cost-per-wear. Would I prefer high-quality, eco-friendly materials at a higher price? Naturally, yes — I tend to gravitate toward good quality. However, for white canvas, long-term durability is not realistic when compared to dark leather, and that’s perfectly acceptable in this case. After searching extensively (around 10 pairs ordered and returned so far), I have not yet found another pair in Europe that ticks all these boxes: - White canvas - White sole - Extra wide - Square toe box - No front seams across the toe-bend area - Not rubbing against the outer ankle bone or to heel - Not ultra-thin soles These shoes look great with summer dresses and casual wear — though of course, they’re not limited to that style. Conclusion: I WILL definitely repurchase. Many miles ahead, guyz! ... show more
