  • Incredible for the price
Size: 9 Color: 3-1_ Brown/Gum
I thought I'd try these out as cheap summer shoes. I'm very impressed. The construction is a bit sloppy in appearance, but they're holding up so far and you don't notice the glue and other imperfections unless you're looking closely. The stack height (thickness of the sole) is a bit thicker than a lot of minimalist shoes, but I personally like this. The features I care about are zero drop and wide toe box, and these have that. They are light and flexible. They have elastic in them, enough that I don't need to untie them to take them off and put them on, and yet they hug my foot securely when walking. I haven't done much running in them yet, but I think they'll work well for some light street running. Very pleased for the cost! If they last even 6 months they'll have saved me money over previous shoes. ... show more

  • These are so very VERY comfortable!!!
Size: 10 Color: W20 Green
I found a black pair of these magnificent shoes from Goodwill and didn't even know the brand name or anything about them, but after just 1 day wearing them that I cant live without them!!!! So I spent 2 weeks pouring over images online of similar shoes. Even thought I found them on hike-footwear.com and ordered 2 pairs. Definitely not the right ones...my heels spill over the edges...too narrow. Spent $108 for them and am struggling to return them or even a response from the company. (Hike-footwear.com) So I used Google lens, finally, and they popped up here and for only $42. What a great bargin for the value!! The material is lightweight and super breathable. And they never stink after wearing them all day with no socks! Love these!!!! Gotta get me another color! ... show more

  • Super comfy, but one annoying issue.
Size: 9 Color: Black/Gum
These are some of my favorite shoes to wear. The top not only looks stylish (I get a lot of compliments, which I didn't expect), but it's really breathable, with just enough stretch that I can slip them on and off without worry they will just fall off my feet. There's no stiffness in the sole, so it feels like walking around barefoot with a protective layer. With the exception of some wet slick surfaces, and the gum rubber grips really well, and I love using these for cycling on my standard pedal single speed bike (as opposed to clipless pedals). The one gripe I have is with the inner liner. I'm not sure if others have this issue, but as I walk around in them, the liner starts to slip backwards and up the heel, leaving my toes going over the front edge of the liner. There's still room in the toe box, but with my toes going over, it strangely feels like my feet are too big for the shoe. I'm probably going to glue the liner down, but I would love it if Whitin could fix this in the future. It's pretty much the only thing preventing this from being my perfect everyday wear shoe. ... show more

  • Shoes so Good I Came Back for Seconds
Size: 10 Color: 1_ Black
I bought my first pair over 2 years ago now. They're easily the most affordable and comfortable pair of minimalist shoes. So good in fact that here I am buying a second pair in a new color. The first pair is holding up great still, some mild separation of the outer sole but not falling off or anything. Otherwise they're as great as the first day I owned them. For those newer to minimalist shoes do keep in mind you'll be learning how to walk differently in them. Takes maybe a couple weeks tops before you adjust to using more of the ball of your feet. After that you'll be ready to run. Your feet will be stronger than ever. ... show more

  • A pretty darn good water shoe
These remind me of what Teva water shoes used to be before Teva forgot how to make good water shoes. I miss my old Tevas that could handle every form of summer fun I could throw at them, and sadly this shoe is not a very good trail or biking shoe. This shoe is, however, a very good beach shoe, summer kayaking or paddle board shoe, and summer camp shoe. PROS Very lightweight and easy to pack Comfortable (love the wide toe box and no tongue) Good grip on decks, SUP or slick rock Quick Drying Look good even when you’re not adventuring Tight seal on the heel collar that keeps out grit, seeds, thorns etc. Hard to beat price CONS Not good for open water or reef swimming (prefer my BodyGlove 3T) Not great for hiking on any surface rougher than packed soil or sand Soles are very thin, you feel everything and I don’t trust they will hold up to sharp rocky surfaces Not a good pedaling shoe (did I mention you feel everything) Uppers offer very little protection from thorns, branches etc. Traditional shoe laces are okay, but I prefer a cinch lock lace Made in PRC, not a big fan of Made in China ... show more

  • I love these shoes!
Size: 11 Color: 3-1_ Black
This is my second pair of these cross trainer shoes by WHITIN. My first pair was purchased in April 2023, and they lasted a year. The shoe still looks great, but the tread was starting to wear out. I love the wide toe box without it looking funny (bulbous) on my feet like some other shoes. These cross trainers look like normal sneakers but without all the "furniture" (padding, arch supports, etc.). It took a few weeks for my feet to adjust, but now when I put on my regular old sneakers, my feet are not happy. Over the past year, I've even developed a slight arch to my previously flat feet wearing these shoes. I wouldn't recommend hiking where there may be small rocks, because if you step on a rock on your heel or ball of your foot, you'll get bruised. However, if you're sticking mainly to paved or smooth-ish areas, you'll be fine. Be patient with your feet, ankles, and knees while they adjust to a zero-drop, wide toe box shoe, and you'll probably never go back to mainstream shoes! Do your research...there's plenty out there that suggests zero-drop, wide toe box footwear is healthier for you. ... show more
