I bought this WhiteFang skateboard as a first board for my nephew who’s just getting into skating (he’s 12), and it’s been perfect for beginners like him. The 31-inch deck is made of solid 7-ply maple wood—feels really sturdy and durable without being too heavy. The double-kick concave design gives good control for tricks and turns once you get the basics down. Trucks are strong aluminum, wheels are smooth 52mm PU with ABEC-7 bearings that roll nicely on pavement, parks, or even rougher surfaces without much chatter. The grip tape is super sticky (black with the cool WhiteFang logo), providing excellent foot traction right out of the box—no slipping even when sweaty. The graphic on the bottom (black and white geometric pattern) looks sharp and modern; it’s not childish, so it appeals to teens and adults too. Assembly was already done—it arrived fully pre-assembled and ready to ride. My nephew has been using it daily for weeks now, practicing ollies and cruising around, and it’s holding up great with no wobbles or loose parts. Smooth rides, good pop, and forgiving for falls (which happen a lot when learning!). For the price, it’s an incredible value—better quality than many big-brand beginner boards I’ve seen. To me this is a true beginner board. Not so cheap it falls apart. There are things to tweak it and make it better. However we are extremely happy with it. My husband and I both enjoyed helping our Daughter learn the basics on this. As she gets better her boards will too 😉 very happy customers here.

This is a great board! I'm getting this for my friend! Super smooth IF you loosen or tighten the wheel nuts and trucks perfect weight, very strong wood. You do need to break in the board (obviously) and wear the wheels a little bit. If you are getting into skateboarding this is the one to choose. Very good product ... show more

Definitely a situation where you get what you pay for. Most skateboards are around 100 starting amount, but because of how inexpensive this one is it makes sense. Not super durable, looks okay as far as design, and not really stable without significant adjustment out the box. It took me a long time to get the wheels to be stable and ride somewhat smooth. But if you are just learning and expecting to break a board, an option like this works fine. Just enough to show the basics but not much beyond that. ... show more
