Bought these tiles to do a small bathroom ceiling. O will will say I was very leary when I opened the box because the tiles were so light weight and on the thin side. They turned out to be very durable despite the fact they are very light weight foam tiles. I primed and then painted the tiles. After 24 hrs drying time, I applied construction adhesive to the backside of the tiles, quarter sized dabs about every 3 inches and easily pressed the tiles to the less than perfect ceiling. The areas where tiles needed cut down were not a problem, I used a box cutter and had a smooth even cut. The tiles have been up over a month now and none have come loose. The ceiling still looks great! I like this product and would buy again.

This is a feather-light, fragile, beautiful ceiling. We used the recommended tile glue and it went up easily and held. I had to order more to do the edges and haven't finished the job yet, but the impact of it is amazing. I'll post again with photos once it's finished.

These panels were just styrofoam but they look very nice on the bathroom ceiling. I used a Gorilla heavy duty adhesive and it worked perfectly, quick to hold, but adjustable too. Easy to cut, but probably need caulk to get a professional look. I didn't paint it because I wanted white but shouldn't be a problem. Still happy after 3 weeks.

Quick run down of this product. I purchased these as part of my kitchen remodel. The ceiling had been damaged by a water leak in the upstairs bathroom. Because there was lath and plaster and drywall mixed in the repair, the ceiling was slightly uneven in thickness. I knew we'd have to really "float" it out with drywall mud to get it anywhere close enough to just paint. So, I started looking around for alternative ways to finish the ceiling. I found these tiles through an internet search. I got them and painted them with a sprayer. (Not spray paint.) I used the glue that was recommended by Amazon and these tiles went up nice and easy. I'm very happy with this product and would buy it again in a heartbeat. Everyone who sees our ceiling loves it and can't believe it's "just foam" I took one star off because not all the tiles are the same size. They are really close, but a few of them were off by about a 16th of an inch. In order to keep the lines straight I had to purposefully leave a few gaps. Not a big deal I was able to correct with a caulk and touch up paint, but just be aware of it.

Great light weight foam tile that went up perfectly on a feature wall for a teen bedroom. I faux painted all of them ahead and used latex, chalk and milk paint as well as crackle glaze to to get the distressed effects. I even oversprayed a few lightly with gold and silver metallic spray paint but you have to be super careful to be sure your tile has a few thick layers of water based paint first and apply spray paint very lightly from above atleast 18" away . Spray paint typically disintegrates foam so you have to base coat all areas exposed first, well!! I used gold over spray to create a rose gold tile. There are metallic waxes and glazes out there but I needed to do a lot quickly for a client and was pleased with the results! Tiles were attached to wall with the mastic recommended on package insert. I started applying them at top center and there was no sliding at all. You had enough play with mastic to adjust level line after a few minutes though too. Just don't try and move them around after about 10 minutes because you will risk damaging the tile as adhesion is strong by then. As an interior designer, I really appreciate products that can be used outside of the traditional box and allow ample creativity. This is certainly one of them! Attached are photos that show the plan and then the install. Easy and quick, took only an hour!

I thought they were thick all the way across but it is basically the edges that are thickest. Now, not sure I will be able to use them as I intended.

You can see my before and after photos. This product went up so easy, we used the glue recommended and I was able to pull this whole ceiling off by myself. It was approx. 25x15 foot. It took me 2 boxes and an order of 8 extra to pull this off. I used silver spray paint before I attached and used and straight edge paper cutter to make the cuts. This turned my horrible sunroom in to a stunning room! I added new ceiling fans I ordered off of amazon as well. Low cost but amazing high returns!!! Love this product!
