The spike and lug nuts are one piece. It's a very well made product. The design is streamlined with a better look than other comparable product. If you are OK with hand-washing your car forever then this will work for you. If you want to be able to remove the spike without removing the lug nuts from the wheel my suggestion would be sick speed. I was more than satisfied. They are worth every penny and it took an hour to install. In my opinion black lug nuts look best on silver alloy wheels and I wanted it to stand out and that's what I got :)

During installation, using the adapter that was provided, the paint would chip off of the spikes in the adapter. I had not even gotten to tightening the wheels to the correct torque. Would not recommend.

I love the way they look and the conical cut was perfect for my rims. However the socket that is included leaves a ring around the tips and digs in. If you can fix the ring the socket leaves behind definitely 5 stars
