Disclaimer: I haven't tried washing it yet. This is my second skirt from these guys, I wear them to Ren fests and occasionally on summer days. Easy to get in a skirt hike, I can pull it up when I get hot, and it swaying creates enough of a breeze to stay cool. The only downside is the insane amount of fabric, getting into a car requires and plan and a mound of fabric in my lap. The second one I bought is another 25 yd one, so clearly it's not too much of a bother! Love this thing.

I purchased this skirt for a theatre production and was not disappointed. It's very full, with a great silhouette and terrific movement. The fabric hangs beautifully and there is a LOT of it - multiple layers of gauze, which makes it heavy enough to fall correctly when moving or dancing. If you're looking at this for an active event, like a theatre production or a renaissance faire, you should probably be aware that the fabric as a whole is fairly delicate so if it snags on something it would be easy to tear. The sizing on this is very generous, the waistband is elastic and there is a drawstring as well which helps but if you're smaller than a US8 or have a very straight figure the weight of the skirt might make it difficult for it to stay up unless you have it tucked into a bodice or belt. I will be buying several more, overall it's a good piece for the price.

I bought this white skirt after buying the ivory and chocolate colored ones. I wear them underneath gathered skirts with 126" hems as a petticoat, so the sheerness is not a problem for me at all. Most customers won't be doing that though. Maybe if you plan to do some bellydancing and want the audience to view your legs totally, you could wear this. Also, there are several examples of poor quality in the skirt, like a section big enough to put my whole hand through which was not joined to the next part of the skirt, and sections which are only just barely attached. The thread is so weak that the seam attaching the bottom tier tears immediately if you accidentally step on the hem while climbing the stairs. Overall, I am happy with the skirt because of its fullness. I would pay a lot for so much fabric and it would take forever to sew it myself. So, I'm ok with it.
