After lots of comparing available 6600W generators I went with the WGen 5300c mainly because of the electric and remote start. Amazon delivered within 2 days without any transport damage. Putting on the wheels and feet and fill the provided oil via provided funnel was pretty simple. Purchased 5gal gas can, premium gas, Sta-bil and filling the tank was no problem. Purchased a 25ft 30A 4prong 240V extension cord that splits into four 120V household outlets to plug in extension cords from 2 fridges w freezers, several heating lamps for our reptiles, TV, internet and other electronics in a surge protection outlet as well as a space heater in case we lost power. If we needed the airfryer, toaster or water kettle I just unplug the kitchen fridge and plug in the appliance one at a time so the available 5300W should be more than enough. The generator started at first try with the remote start at no load. It is loud but not as loud as expected. 87decibel right in front of it, 76 decibel about 30ft away. Can’t hear it when I am in the house. Ran it for 30min with different low loads on first day. On the second day of break-in (28F) I tried the electric and remote start but not enough battery power.(Guess I have to charge the battery with the provided charger). Started the generator instead easily (5ft6 female) with the recoil and ran for another 30min on low load for break in. Plan on running it only for 30-60min every day this week for the 5h break-in not to annoy my neighbors too much. And then we should hopefully be all set for the next power outage. Very happy with the result. UPDATE: runs about 8hs with a full 4.8 gal tank of premium gas (always add Stabil to gas can when getting gas at gas station). We always have an extra filled 5gal gas can so we are set for about a day and night with power. Keep your battery charged with the supplied charger. Check weekly. It does not start when battery is dead. And if there is a bad storm coming, I set it up, covered under patio table with 240V cord plugged in and I only need to attach the extension cords in the house when it rains or snows. I‘d rather put it away the next day if no loss of power than set it up again in pouring rain.😱 ... show more

This generator has been great overall. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's pretty loud. If noise isn't a concern, I'd have no problem giving it a perfect rating. Performance-wise, it's been excellent. I ran it for about 8 hours straight without a single issue, and it never skipped a beat. It starts easily, provides reliable power, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. One thing to be aware of is that it's very heavy. Getting it in and out of the truck is definitely a two-person job unless you're big and strong like me. Once it's in place, though, it's rock solid. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. Reliable, powerful, and well-built. If they could make it a little quieter, it would be just about perfect. ... show more

Excellent investment I sent it to my parents to Venezuela where the power cuts are constant and prolonging 4-6 hours a day, it is super comfortable with the wheels that it brings mobility is facilitated since it is heavy, and my parents are already elderly people where I think about their comfort where they turn on their generator with a remote control, the only thing is the sound but it is already something that escapes the hands but it does not downplay it either ... show more

I bought the Westinghouse generator back in July 2024 and I am glad to have adquired it just on time before huricane season in Florida. Well The area where I live was hit with two back to back huricanes (Helene and Milton) in a week. The westinghouse generator was run for 24 hours staight the first time after Hurricane Helene and the second time for over 6 days straight after Huricane Milton. I had no problems while it was in operation, I was able to run my refrigerator, two fans and the TV. NO PROBLEMS. At night the generator sounds noisy but it is hard to find a quiet generator unless you go for an small one with less wattage generator. The only regret I have is not buying the one Westinghouse generator that is DUAL FUEL(gas and propane). If any one wants to get a generator, you get the Westinghouse Dual fuel. There was a time when gasoline was difucult to find due to shortage. The next issue was that the push start button had hard time starting the generator and I had to use the pull start. This generator was intimidating but easy to assemble and operate with no experience. It is as loud as a riding lawn mower. It is an engine so expect some noise. With the handle and wheels it is manageable to move. I am mid 50s and female. I do yard work but I am not very strong. It is intended to run a refrigerator and window unit in a power outage and double as an rv generator. See video. ... show more
