This is a very solid and well made generator. Noise level isn't crazy for an open frame. The remote start is extremely convenient. Fuel lasts quite a while under peak running conditions so it's very fuel efficient. When we were first looking at generators we were between this one and the dual fuel, and honestly this one is just far more convenient than the dual fuel. Considering we don't really have any reason to keep propane. We really love it and can't wait to put it to use during hurricane season. ... show more

The 6600 Peak watts generator was packaged well and easy to assemble. The push-Button start gets the machine operating quickly. The 5300 Running watts should easily power our outdoor freezer, the lights, and a small A/C if a power outage occurs. We live in an area that gets tropical storms, and last year we had no power for 8 days in 90 degree weather. ... show more

    • Where is the product information packet?
Upon receipt of the generator, we find NO owners manual, quick set up guide, nothing. Amazon was quick to provide pdf copies, but of course if I want printed information, I have to print it out. Submitting a service ticket with Westinghouse resulted in receiving a postcard in the mail with a QR code for downloading the information as well. This would not be troublesome, except for the fact that we had already purchased a larger generator from Westinghouse (through Amazon) and thus expected to receive the same packets of information with generator #2 that we received with generator #1. No warranty card to send in, no set up or use information, no owners manual. Zip, nada, zilch. The generator seems to be well built, is set up and ready to go, but I am disappointed in the customer service (lack of) in responding to our request for the proper documents to go with the equipment. ... show more

    • Beautiful generator
I bought the generator for the push button start, I am too old to pull the handle to start. The assembly instructions were good. The oil thing is under the generator, and the included funnel is not great, lots of leakage, use towels. The instructions did not say how much oil to put in, but it was the whole bottle (included). The instructions did not include charging the battery, but the adapter was included, and there is a place on the front to plug it in. Anyway it turned out the battery came charged. The step by step start up instructions were pretty understandable. I started it on the first try. Something not in the manual, my father said it is important to use ethanol free gas, if you are just using it when storms take out the power, so the gas won't get old and do some separating stuff and won't be good when you need it. I have not used the generator yet, besides starting it up, but looks good. ... show more

This generator is awesome! Very easy to put together and runs so smooth. I just had to put on the 2 wheels. It comes with a wireless remote to start the generator as well!
