Great scope! You may have reservations about the quality and durability and that's understandable. However, let me assure you while those initial reactions are warranted, this scope quelled my skepticism and may do the same for you. Packaging and accessories were all included and nothing is cheap in feel or function. The glass is quite good as it punches well above its price point. Tactile and audible turrets, smooth although a bit tight but it's a new scope and I like that I have to use it to improve it, in a manner of speaking. You will be taken care of by their amazing customer service and there's a lifetime warranty. Not much to complain about as this company is matching warranties with the big names, so how can you lose? Westhunter deserves a lot more exposure because their products are outstanding for the money. I hope your experience is even better than mine. Not a bot, not paid or coerced into reviewing this.     • IT SHOULD BE DESCRIBED AS A “COMPACT” SCOPE
My major complaint is that the scope is only 10.55 inches long, which is about 1.5” shorter than your standard hunting rifle scope. I set it back as far as I could on the rail and rings, but I’m about 1” short of what feels comfortable. I really had to stretch my neck to get a full field view, which was literally a pain. It did not come with a battery, so be sure to pick up a CR2032. The manual is all but useless without any instructions. I kept trying to turn the L/R and U/D knobs, but they wouldn’t budge. You have to pull the ring OUT, then make your adjustments. The cover has a coin slot, so it can be removed, so you can set to your zero for whatever distance you sighted it in for, which is a feature usually found only on much more expensive scopes. The mil-rad illuminated “Christmas Tree” is fantastic. Most illuminated scopes only illuminate the crosshair portion. The build quality is good and it purports to be fog proof, shock and water resistant, which are big pluses. It comes with lens caps, so that’s one less thing to hassle with. The multi-coated glass has a little chromatic aberration, as does almost all Chinese optics. Just be aware if you are of small stature or have a long, non-adjustable stock, you may have some issues. I debated whether exchange it for a different model, but for the money, getting a fully illuminated, FFP, mil-rad for the price, this scope can’t be beat. Of course, I won’t know the full story until I get it to the range to see how it holds zero and it’s overall performance. If it were just a bit longer, I would have given it a solid 5 stars. ... show more

Glass is clear, but no battery for illumination. This is my 2nd optic from them in 2 years. The 1st one came with batteries. Sloppy QC.
