Was reluctant because it was faux leather. However, saved $100 over leather options, and as one reviewer said, it looks as good as the real leather options, and I agree. For the amount of casual use I expect to give them, it was worth the saving. Did replace the cushion insole it came with as it had a slight slope from heel to toe, pushing my foot (toes) up against the end of the toe box. A perfectly flat cushion sole resolved that discomfort and now am very pleased with the fit. Another downside is that it has left some black marks on the linoleum floor in the kitchen, so have purchased an area rug for the kitchen.

Overall it’s comfortable enough to wear all day. It is a little tight on the top so if you have a wider foot it might be a little uncomfortable. I cant say it’s a work boot. But for a causal event I think you will be fine

I ordered these boots for my Husband to wear to a Western Themed Function. He said that he wasn’t expecting much from the shoes, but he was stunned when he didn’t have any discomfort during the entire night. They are more of a true to fit, not much wiggle room. The quality of the material is great also.Luckily we went into a few boot stores and tried on different types of boots before deciding to order from Amazon. So I would say order a 1/2 or 1 size up. They look exactly how they are advertised and we are very pleased with our purchase.
