Comfortable, true to size but snug. Light and not heavy. Can wear all day.

Pros: + Supple rubber around the ankle, so no chafing or rubbing on your leg. Huge plus for rainboots! + Very fashionable shape and appearance + Easy to slip on and off without having to use your hands + Very waterproof + Grippy on wet surfaces + Nice pair of boots for the price Con: - Not letting water in means these boots are not breathable at all. I'm not a foot sweater, have never had to think about it, but my feet come out of these SOAKED from sweat. They're still cute and I still wear them, just has to be for very short periods and only with wool socks for comfort. It's not a flaw of these particular boots, any fitted rain boot will do the same, I think all my other waterproof shoes are looser around the ankle and in the box, which sacrifices comfort for breathability

(Update: The third day I've worn these boots, the pull loop on the back of one of them broke. the side toward the front of the boot came free. It's not sewn in any way so I'm confused how it was ever supposed to be secure. The side of the pull strap toward the rear is securely attached to the rubber so I plan to stitch the loop to itself in order to be able to use the pull loop. I'll probably do the same to the one on the other shoe in case it's similarly insecure. I still love the boots though, and have had no other problems.) Yes, my standing-in-a-puddle photo and standing-in-the-snow photo are from the same day (today, as I write this), when there were both deep puddles everywhere and also snow on the ground! They don't leak in water of this depth (obviously, the elastic gusset on the side is only water-resistant not waterproof). On a day in the low 30's Fahrenheit like today it's true my toes would have been warmer in my insulated snow boots but I wasn't uncomfortable and doubling up on socks would have solved the warmth problem sufficiently. I tested that I can fit in the boots comfortably with two pairs of socks on and there is no problem. I've now walked about five miles in these wonderful boots and they are more comfortable than any rain boots I've owned, and better looking too. The tops don't dig into my legs in any way, especially because the natural rubber is so nicely flexible. The insole is removeable and is not especially supportive but is a comfy 1/4" thin memory foam with fabric on top. These shoes' traction is plenty good, even seemed okay on a 45 degree down slope of grass covered with wet snow, though not good on actual sheet ice (which did form late in the day and is dangerous, at which point I put on snow boots and ice cleats) or on wet tile which was not dangerous to walk on but I needed to be a little more careful because it was just slightly slippy. My other rain boots are a single piece of molded plastic with a thin ridged design sole that has started to wear smooth, so the Western Chief boots are surely better than that and the tread seems like it would last longer. I ordered women's size 10/Euro 41. I wear anywhere from size 10 to 10 1/2 (or Euro size 41-42). When I first put them on my toe in the right boot was right in the end but by the time I'd walked a mile or so it had loosened up slightly and felt great. It would be really cool if these rain boots were made in they USA (alas they are not). This is my honest review, that I am excited and happy to have these. I've wanted a pair of Western Chief rain boots for years and the Element Chelsea Boots do not disappoint. They are more comfortable AND more attractive than any other rain boots I've ever had. I will look forward to rainy days.

I purchased these boots for those rainy spring days at the barn when the ground starts defrosting. They are a thicker rubber boot, best worn with thicker padded socks for comfort. They're waterproof, look nice, fit a little bigger than expected but considering they're rubber I'm not surprised. I usually order my boots 6.5 so I can wear winter socks, but these are plenty big just as a size 6. I don't think the soles are super comfortable, I think if you plan to wear them longer an insole would be beneficial. I do like them though and I'm happy with them. My only complaints are the thickness of the rubber being a little uncomfortable with thinner socks, and the soles being a bit too firm for my liking for long term wear. Overall though, they are definitely a good quality boot and indeed waterproof.

These boots have quickly become my go-to for wet weather. The waterproof rubber keeps my feet completely dry, even when walking through puddles or wet grass. The elastic side panels make them easy to pull on and off, and they stay snug without feeling tight. I really like the reflective trim for added visibility on early morning dog walks or evening errands. The memory foam insole is surprisingly comfortable—great cushioning and decent arch support, which is rare for rain boots. Plus, the slip-resistant soles give me good traction on slick sidewalks and driveways. All in all, they’re durable, practical, and comfortable enough to wear all day. If you need a solid pair of waterproof boots that are easy to wear and built to last, these are a fantastic choice.

Most boots like this are waterproof but have no internal support and are hard to walk in. These have supportive insoles with a bit of arch support and that makes them a good value. They are a little hard to get on and off but that's the nature of this style, and more importantly they don't suck off in the mud. So I wear them when I'm cleaning the chicken coop, a job that requires a good waterproof boot with good support.

These are great boots to wear when it rains and are not the old fashioned kind that slip over your shoes but rather are shoes that you can wear on their own to keep your feet dry. They also have nice traction on the bottom so that you won't slip in wet conditions. There is also a small reflective strip but I don't think it helps much. I don't wear these often, but my dog still needs her walks rain or shine, so it is nice to have comfortable shoes to keep my feet dry.
