    • Perfect for a portable ruler
I love Westcott rulers. I bought this one to tuck into my journal's back pocket. It's slim and flexible enough to travel with me without fear of a stress crack if something heavy is set down on my journal. It's pretty easy to read and it slides smoothly along my paper surfaces.

I love these little rulers and have several of them. I do a lot of small projects that require accurate measurements and it's difficult to do if I can't see under the ruler. This one allows me to see right through it, and it's just the right size to fit easily over almost anything small and flat. We also use them as bookmarks--it keeps out highlighting or underlining neat and where we want it instead of wandering randomly between the lines (my pencil skills do not reflect straight lines).     • Very useful little ruler.
I bought this to use in my bullet journal. It works great. Only issue I have had is since it is a flexible ruler and is thinner than most rulers if I'm not careful my pen will slip under the ruler if I'm not making sure to hold down the ruler. This could just be user error and pressing the pen too hard against it. It is very light and thin enough to use as a book mark in my bullet journal making it very portable and convenient. It is clear and the grid style of the ruler makes it easy to make sure it is lined up and straight. However I probably would not pay more than I have for it (which was less than a dollar) because after all it is just a small piece of thin plastic. Depending on how it is taken care of could easily be damaged so I would not store loose in a back back or in a way that will allow it to bend so it may not be suitable for younger kids for school depending on how they store it and take care of their things. ... show more

I purchased these small rulers (12 in the package) for my beginning hand quilting students to make it easier for them to mark seamlines on their quilt pieces. Prior to finding these clear rulers, they had been using 12" wooden school rulers, which made it almost impossible for them to mark 1/4" lines for the seams. Although it took a couple tries for each person to understand how to place the ruler with the ruler edge on the 1/4" position and the rest of the ruler extending towards and past the edge of the fabric, they are now all accurately marking (and sewing) the quilt blocks together. ... show more
