He liked that they are hardbacks and liked the paper texture and color. He liked the size they were, not too big and bulky for packing, and not too small that it is hard to write in. This was a super cute journal! Light weight and easy to carry around. I love traveling around with a journal, and this one was great. The cover is sturdy enough to put in a backpack without the pages bending and the paper quality is pretty good. I do wish the lines were closer together but for personal journal I think this works. Plus the tree on the cover is really cute and simplistic.

I got the sapphire blue journal with the lines and I love it. I got this to help with my mental health and at the rate I am going, it should last me a couple of months. The color of the pages are perfect and strains my eyes less than bleach white would while I am writing. The pages are thick and my gel pen just barely peaks through the other side. I write hard so this is very normal for any diary I use. It's not chunky so I can easily carry it around with me in my bag or purse. For the price, if you are looking to try nightly/daily writing, this would be a great option.
