Produce up to 3600 surge watts and 2900 rated watts of power Our 149cc engine operates at a modest 65 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 3600W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 46-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra- efficient 1.6-gallon tank provides up to 5 hours of half-load run time. This arrived quickly and initial set up was easy. My Amazon delivery driver was very friendly. I cycled this for 8 hours, on and off eco mode, first no, then minimal load, to break it in. Afterwards, I took it into my kitchen (please don't tell my wife) and I changed the oil. The next day, I tested it out on my camper and used the air conditioning (13K BTU). The generator accepted the load with no issues. The generator is very easy to start, even when cold. I like the gauges and I find it to be pretty quiet. The size is great, because if I choose to, I can store it in my camper, under my lower bunk storage. Even when doing this - I noticed no gasoline smell after driving home. I'm curious to monitor the fuel consumption. On a hot day of testing with the A/C on constantly, I only got around 4 hours on a tank. But again, the generator was barely broken in, and it was a very hot day. All in all I do not foresee any issues with this generator. I think it will serve my needs well. We bought this to supplement battery power for our camp trailer. We received two weeks ago and put it to use at our hunting campsite. It has only run for about 40 hours. Once I remembered to stop and start it in standard mode (not eco-mode) it typically started on the second pull, and the pull starter operates easily. I did start it one morning just to test it when the temperature was 14 deg. F and it took 4 pulls that time. It easily started and ran our air conditioner, which was again, just a test. I normally ran it from 5pm to about 10 pm when I got back from hunting until bedtime. During this time it was powering the furnace fan, typically 4 led interior lights and was recharging the 12v battery that had been powering the furnace and lights during the rest of the day. (My wife stayed in the trailer most of the time). It typically showed 2 bars of power usage (50% I think) and then dropped to 1 bar a bit later, most likely when the charge rate for the battery slowed. During this 5 hour run time it use about 1 gal of gasoline which seems pretty fuel efficient to me. I did run it for about 8 hours once but it still showed 1 bar for fuel. I really appreciate the fuel and power gauges, and eco-mode seems to work well. The generator was place under the awning of our trailer to keep it out of rain and snow so it was close to us. While we were inside the trailer it was a gentle purr that that didn't interfere with conversation at all. It was basically obscured when the furnace came on. It is well designed, and I really like the single control switch. There is no hunting for the choke or fuel shutoff when you get ready to shut it down for an extended period and you need to run the carburetor dry. All the functions on this control switch seem to work well. At 48 lbs. (probably dry, though it doesn't say and which would put it at about 68 lb with full fuel and oil) I wouldn't call it "lightweight". I'm 78 and can move it around and place it on the tailgate of our pickup with one hand (the handle on top is greatly appreciated), so it's not too heavy to manage. The ground was very wet so I placed the rubber feet on 2x6 planks and it never vibrated itself off those planks. I changed the oil twice during this period of use. After initial break in, the recommended oil change interval is 25 hours of run time (it does have an hour meter) so if you run it 5 hours a day, you should be prepared to change the oil for an extended trip. This generator is pretty handy when I go camping or need power at a job site. it's lightweight enough to carry easily and doesn’t make a lot of noise, which is a big plus. i like that it has a fuel shut-off feature; it helps conserve fuel and keeps the engine in good shape. on the downside, it’s not super powerful, so for bigger tools or appliances, I might need something larger. overall, it’s a nice, portable option for lighter use. ... show more

    • Hard to beat when it comes to features and performance

Ordered due to massive power outages in Pittsburgh in early May 2025. So far, this generator has far exceeded expectations and has been constantly running for 138 hours without a single hiccup. My elderly neighbor has a Honda 3600 that I've had to help her with during this week-long outage. As far as noise, the Wen generator absolutely smokes the Honda. When the Honda is running next door, I can not hear the Wen. When I shut the Honda off to fill the tank, the Wen is quiet and more of a purr. Really the Honda is probably three times as loud as the Wen. Both the Wen and the Honda have started on first pull every time. While I have no idea what my neighbor has running off of the Honda, both generators are lasting around 8.5 hours on a full tank. What I have been running on the Wen for a full week: Refrigerator Sump pump Three lamps Wifi A complete saltwater tank (lights, multiple pumps, two heaters, a doser, skimmer, ATO and the controller. The tank is running normally). Phone charger Laptop charger Occasional coffee grinder Occasional coffee pot Occasional bidet Even with all of that, I've never seen the load creep above 50%. The Wen also has some very nice features that the Honda doesn't. I really love both runtime modes and the eco switch. All of this at half the cost of the Honda. This is my second WEN purchase. There are other names out there with higher profiles, but both WEN products were well packaged, easy to understand directions, easy to start and run. This particular item we take camping. With a tent camper, noise is an issue for the generator. This WEN generator is quieter than the A/C unit it operates. On ECO mode it sounds like an idling car or truck, nothing more. My camp mates appreciate the low volume of noise. We have taken it out on the boat and placed on swim platform, I had to check it a couple of times , so quiet I was not sure it was still on. ... show more

    • GARBAGE !!

First, if you live or camp above 2K, you have to purchase a high altitude kit. No where does the seller tell you this, until you call can state what a "POS" this generator is. Right out of the box this thing spit and sputtered, thats when WEN customer service stated i needed the altitude kit. Never had to have one on my 15 yr old Yamaha 2000IS. After I had to purchase and install the altitude kit, this POS didnt sputter as much, still dint run smooth, but was better. i let it just run with no load for 4 hrs. Did the oil change , and now put some loads on it. This POS would not charge our Jackery 1500W solar , the input W is normally 900W when plugged into an AC outlet, or charged off the yamaha, this POS only put out 370W, tried to run a vacuum, it went into Overload and shut down. Plugged into our trailer, it showed 75% load and nothing was on other then some lights and the Refridge. Within 10-15 seconds of trying to run the microwave it went into overload and shut off, same with the AC, even a coffee pot shut this thing down. Back on the phone with customer service (have to call, they dont answer emails) WEN shipped me a new one along with a return label for the first POS. When the 2nd one arrived, I was hopeful i just had bad luck on the first one, NOPE, the 2nd POS was worse, right out of the box it would not start, i tried for 2 hrs, Not a SINGLE time would it fire up. I checked all the electric connections, i pulled the spark plug and tested it for spark (which it had) with and without the Altitude kit this thing would not start. Cant return via amazon, but THANK YOU amazon for a full refund. Back on the phone with WEN, they didnt want it returned, whats that tell ya, they know these things are GARBAGE. WEN also didnt offer a refund, and i had to make them send me another prepaid return slip. Save your self a lot of four letter words, and time and $$ . DO NOT BUY THIS POS. ... show more
