Description

Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power? The WEN 3600-Watt Inverter Generator provides clean energy, free of voltage spikes and drops, without all the noise of a regular generator. Produce up to 3600 surge watts and 2900 rated watts of power Our 149cc engine operates at a modest 65 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 3600W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 46-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra- efficient 1.6-gallon tank provides up to 5 hours of half-load run time. The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle, one 120V TT-30R RV receptacle, and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline. Need more energy? Easily link up any two WEN inverter generators using a WEN Parallel Connection Kit (sold separately) in order to share wattage amongst multiple units. Low-oil and low-fuel automatic shutdown combine with the built-in overload protection and indicator lights to safeguard both your generator and your electronics from damage. And because this is a WEN Product, your inverter generator comes backed by a 3-year limited warranty, a nationwide network of skilled service technicians and a friendly customer helpline. Remember when your generator powered your electronics safely and quietly? Remember WEN.

  • Nice affordable generator
Style: 4500W
Used this little inverter on my house for 120v appliances. Works great and is decently quiet for the price. powers my fridge, boiler, lights and a tv while power is out. Pretty light weight for a generator and can be carried around easily. Comes with a floating nuetral out of the box so you dont double bond your house. ... show more

  • Excellent inverter generator for the money
Style: Dual Fuel + 3600W + CO Sensor
Excellent light generator. Not quite as quiet as my Honda 3000IS but a fraction of the weight. However, that being said it is not loud either. Just a get decibels more as the Honda is the gold standard at 4 times the cost. I am past break in and only use propane, it is relatively easy to start, runs clean. I use synthetic oil. One surprise is you drain the oil out the oil fill by tilting it. Another user noted the RV outlet was coming loose in use…I have not had any issues with that. I also use a magnetic dip stick so no fines will be circulating and wearing out bearings. It is strong enough to power the trailer A/C with no issues. I have not had enough run time to fully evaluate fuel consumption. ... show more

  • Works well and starts every time.
Style: 3600W
We bought this to supplement battery power for our camp trailer. We received two weeks ago and put it to use at our hunting campsite. It has only run for about 40 hours. Once I remembered to stop and start it in standard mode (not eco-mode) it typically started on the second pull, and the pull starter operates easily. I did start it one morning just to test it when the temperature was 14 deg. F and it took 4 pulls that time. It easily started and ran our air conditioner, which was again, just a test. I normally ran it from 5pm to about 10 pm when I got back from hunting until bedtime. During this time it was powering the furnace fan, typically 4 led interior lights and was recharging the 12v battery that had been powering the furnace and lights during the rest of the day. (My wife stayed in the trailer most of the time). It typically showed 2 bars of power usage (50% I think) and then dropped to 1 bar a bit later, most likely when the charge rate for the battery slowed. During this 5 hour run time it use about 1 gal of gasoline which seems pretty fuel efficient to me. I did run it for about 8 hours once but it still showed 1 bar for fuel. I really appreciate the fuel and power gauges, and eco-mode seems to work well. The generator was place under the awning of our trailer to keep it out of rain and snow so it was close to us. While we were inside the trailer it was a gentle purr that that didn't interfere with conversation at all. It was basically obscured when the furnace came on. It is well designed, and I really like the single control switch. There is no hunting for the choke or fuel shutoff when you get ready to shut it down for an extended period and you need to run the carburetor dry. All the functions on this control switch seem to work well. At 48 lbs. (probably dry, though it doesn't say and which would put it at about 68 lb with full fuel and oil) I wouldn't call it "lightweight". I'm 78 and can move it around and place it on the tailgate of our pickup with one hand (the handle on top is greatly appreciated), so it's not too heavy to manage. The ground was very wet so I placed the rubber feet on 2x6 planks and it never vibrated itself off those planks. I changed the oil twice during this period of use. After initial break in, the recommended oil change interval is 25 hours of run time (it does have an hour meter) so if you run it 5 hours a day, you should be prepared to change the oil for an extended trip. There is no oil filter, hence the short interval. All in all, I'm quite pleased, so far. ... show more

  • Very Good, Not Perfect
Style: Dual Fuel + 3600W + CO Sensor
I bought this to use with my Arctic Fox camper after my built-in four year old Onan LP generator failed twice, the second time the part needed to repair it was no longer being made. The Wen is a reasonable weight, it starts easily and is a strait up bargain for a 3600 dual fuel inverter generator. It is not super quiet, but it is quieter than the Onan. I rated it four stars for a couple of reasons that mainly have to do with my intended usage. First, the 30 amp plug is located in a funky place. The attached pic shows it is impossible to seat the rv plug in the outlet because the panel below the plug sticks out. If left as it is the plug will eventually back out due to vibration. I am going to shave down the rv cable to make it work. My second issue is I was hoping to use my campers propane supply to run the generator. I have a regulated outlet on the rear of the rig to power a grill, propane firepit, etc. I was going to build a strait hose without a regulator to make this happen. Unfortunately, the pic supplied by Wen does not show the huge additional regulator on the LP hose. I assume this is to control the gas flow when in Eco mode. I am going to confirm this with Wen later. Until then, I will be toting a third propane tank around. I definitely recommend this generator. It will run my 10800 but AC if needed. Can get a propane refill, buy some gas. It is safe for today's electronics. Also, I emailed Wen questions before buying it and they generally responded in a couple of days. Update: The generator continues to start without issue….even if the temps are below 40 degrees. I have it hooked to a Flame King 20 pound propane tank with a float valve fuel level gauge, which takes the guesswork out of propane levels. I have seen some pretty eye opening claims about the Wen’s runtime on a 20p/5 gal tank..Wen claims 14 hours! I am seeing about six hours per tank after break in using a mix of eco and regular settings, mostly just charging my camper batteries and my Jackery generator. On the upside, some items that use propane get finicky when the gas levels get low. The Wen starts right up with 1/4 full tank. ... show more
