So after reading many reviews, real and fake. I decided to buy and give them a try. Like you read elsewhere they are basically a 2x8 hollowed out for the wall mounting bracket. It’s not a bad thing. The part that’s the letdown is the mounting bracket itself. Its flimsy. I was able to get one of the shelves mounted and leveled perfectly (still is) The other one not so much. Adjusted the mount several times and it keeps tipping over time. I’ve even swapped spots between the shelves and still the same issue. I’m putting Lego cars on these shelves so it’s not like I’m overloading them. Best of luck to the rest of you. ... show more

    • Not a sturdy shelf

The quality of the shelf was nice but the bracket did not fit snugly into the shelf. Even with the screws to lock in the shelf, the shelf still wobbles slightly. Installation of the bracket was straightforward and fairly easy. I am not new to minor home improvements and each shelf was mounted into at least 2 studs and 2 drywall anchors so the bracket was rock solid. I was able to tighten the shelf with a few added items to snug up the shelf to the bracket and the wall. Overall, I was happy with the look and quality of the wood shelves but not satisfied with the quality and fit of the mounting bracket. Sadly I would not recommend this shelving system. ... show more

good product for the money. I was impressed. I bought four sets, returned one because for of the shelves they had used wood putty on the front edge which made it unsightly. But overall, good value for the money. I would recommend. Keep in mind you're dealing with many horizontal edges, so using a level is key in getting them straight. ... show more

I cannot say enough great things about these shelves. They are excellent quality, thick wood. The mounting brackets are very sturdy and easy to install! I have the 24” and 36” long shelves. The 24” are currently holding about 40lbs of plants on each shelf. They mount easy but you need to mount them to studs to get maximum weight on them. The hardware that comes with the shelves will hold them but very little weight would be supported. overall good product. time will tell on the longevity of them. ... show more

    • Not floating, more like sloping

The shelves themselves are great, but the floating is actually a sagging I had to go buy piping to keep the shelf from sloping. Everything slides off. Cost waaayyyy to much to have to buy additional equipment to hang them properly. Very disappointed.

I bought two sets of shelves 1 1/2 years ago. One of the shelves has warped and is pretty nasty looking. The company will not replace the shelf or reimbursed me in any way. I’m sorry but the shelf should not warp. Obviously defective! I’m vary into customer service. I would stay away from this company. ... show more

    • If your going to put anything heavy on these shelves, fastening to a stud is highly recommended.

Product was easy to install. It came with wall anchors which I did not use because I mounted them on 1/2 inch thick panelling. I was able to fasten the center screws into a stud which allowed me to put a reciever on it. Looks great.
