There are 3 areas on the top of the stand that have dents. They will mostly be covered, however when yuo buy something new, it should not have dents all over the top.

So, it looks nice enough. Not as nice as I'd wish, but about as nice as one should be able to expect given the price, and actually quite nice indeed given what you're most likely to actually get for the price, generally speaking. That said, either the holes were drilled a bit off or the wood warped, because some of those screws were simply not going to work, no matter how many times I uttered sweet nothings. But the way the thing is constructed, gravity is its friend. Enough screws went in that I think it'll be just fine. It's not a jungle gym after all. Took a chance based on the reviews but decided to purchas two of these for our living room. Overall, they are beautiful and very sturdy. They were easy to put together but I did have some issue with ligning up one shelf. I loosened all of the screws and manhandled it a little bit and got everything in. WARNING: unwap the legs in the box. There was A TON of metal shavings that came out of the legs and one hole had a random screw &washer in it. Overall very happy with them. ... show more

This was an excellent purchase and easy to assemble. For those that had problems with the holes lining up, you needed to fit the right shelf in the right way. Turn things around. When you assemble a product you need to think just a little bit. The first way may be the wrong way. It was simple and the frame is very sturdy and the wood is real and very nice. I bought this thinking I would be replacing the wood with some higher end pieces I would have to cut and stain but I have kept it for now. I am sorry to see at the moment they are unavailable as I came back to buy another one. Great purchase and I will buy again. ... show more

I ordered 2 of these tables for the price and the higher height to use for night stands. They are nice solid pieces but mine came in 2 different stain colors. One is light and one is dark. So I’m ordering 1 more and sending back the one that doesn’t match. As far as assembly, according to my husband, you don’t tighten everything up till it’s all put together. ... show more
