I purchased this arch to use outside; I was looking for something to use over a garden path that could support vining plants throughout the year. Seeing as my garden design is ever evolving I also chose this particular arch because of the ability to make it a bit higher /or/ wider depending on your preference. This arch is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. First, the arch itself is solidly made. Various lengths of straight and curved metal tubing are made of thick metal, each coated in a good layer of glossy black paint on the exterior, and the interior is similarly coated; all of this helps to create a heavy (i.e. stable) structure that shouldn't rust over time. Pieces are each pinched at the end as one tube slides into the next; coated Philips screws then insert into pre-drilled holes as you assemble the arch, screwing first through the vertical tubing and then into the tubes that connect each side of this double-arched arbor. Assembling things is relatively straightforward, and while one person could handle it a second pair of hands is helpful. Once you've assembled the arch to your chosen height/width you then connect each end to a heavy rectangular base made of the same coated metal; given the heft of all of the materials the arch will easily stay in place in any indoor setting, and outdoors you shouldn't have any problems, though it might be wise to add lawn anchors if it's a windy day and you've added other items that might further increase surface area/catch wind. Given that I'm using it in the garden I actually dug the base a few inches into the ground and added yard stakes before recovering just for good measure. Overall this is a /very/ solid arch and will work well for any number of indoor/outdoor events or as a garden feature. I'm already contemplating purchasing another to place a few additional feet down the walkway to make a living tunnel. Really great product!

I got this arch to use in my garden, not for a wedding. I have several arches and tunnels in my garden so I've seen how quite a few assemble. This one has metal tubes that slide together and then cross-beams that screw in. This arch is not super fast to assemble. It takes time to get the 28 screws in. I have a different garden arch that had the cross beams welded in and the whole thing snapped together in minutes with spring push-button tube locks. For a wedding, I think having something like that is better because it goes up faster. I opted to assemble the archway in the 5.25 ft wide x 7.6 ft High configuration. I wanted to be able to walk under it easily even after a plant was growing over it. The base for this arch would be ideal for an indoor wedding or an outdoor wedding on a solid surface. For weddings on grass/ground, just be aware that there are no stakes to really anchor the arch down. For me, I'm going to bury the feet in a raised bed. As I was getting the arch in the raised bed, I noticed it was fairly easy to twist this arch so that the cross beams weren't perpendicular. I didn't add any weight to it to see how it holds up but I hope it holds up. I am planting a climbing rose over this archway.

This arch has to different styles of putting together. Instructions are a little complicated only because none of the parts are labeled even though on the instructions they described as ABC etc. But not labeled in the actual pieces.

This arch arrived in a very timely manner--no long waiting! I have pulled the components out of the box, but haven't assembled them yet--it's the middle of winter after all! The pieces are nice and sturdy with quite a bit of weight to them. I was wanting a nice garden trellis arch for my vining plants and this is a better option than most of the "garden arches" that are out there. It's cheaper than most garden arches as well! Pros--It disassembles into easy-to-carry sized pieces so it can be very portable. It's weighty so it shouldn't blow away in a stiff breeze It is big and wide so if you're using it as a photo prop it should do nicely! Cons--It is a bit heavy to just lug around! All in all, I think it's going to be perfect for my needs! I'll try to remember to come back and update my review with a photo once I get it set up in the garden!

I ordered this arch for my backyard garden to grow vining plants over. Assembly was fairly easy, just taking the time to screw together the many bars of the arch. With this kit you have an option to make it 7.8ft Wide X 6.3ft High or 5.25ft Wide X7.6ft High. I chose to make it wider. Removing a star because the metal bars are sturdy but the structure itself wobbles a bit even after tightening all the screws. It would be nice if there were stakes included to secure the arch to the ground.

We got this for my daughter's wedding. Assembled, it's quite sturdy. It's nice that there are two configurations so that her fiancée, who is tall, can easily fit under it without having to duck. It'll hold decorations such as greenery and flowers well with the grid layout.
