I got this to put inside the charcoal ring for my Weber Smokey Mountain. I used metal straps to fasten them together and put it on the stock grate at 90 degrees to make the holes smaller so the little coals won't fall though...longer burn. Works great.

Liked that it's made of good quality steel, hopefully American made. Holds up well of continuous use for several years. The chimney starters are a little hard on them as the heat is concentrated in a small area of the center of the grate. So if conditions permit, wind,weather etc. I wouldn't start the charcoal chimney starter in the Weber kettle all the time. It will remain sturdy and level for 5-7 years of pretty high use.
