I softened these and used them to make apron strings for my husband's grilling apron. Used some chicago screws to attach them so we can wash the apron without hurting the leather. Worked great, although they're still weeping dye just a little bit. They were super easy to cut, punch, and tie after being softened a bit. These are a nice quality leather in a standard burgundy color. They are long and you can easily cut them down to fit.
