  • SELF-ALIGNING STAND WITH INTEGRATED CATCH TRAY FOR CLEAN WORKSTATION: Weighted base holds the WDT tool upright automatically; built-in tray catches loose coffee grounds, no messy countertop and quick one-rinse cleanup.
  • HEAVY WEIGHTED BASE PREVENTS TIP-OVER & EASY STORAGE: Solid stainless weighted stand stays stable on counters, keeps your WDT distribution tool upright after use, saves cabinet space compared to loose needle tools without holders.

Description

The key to tasty coffee, in general, is even extractions. Making sure there isn't some coffee that is being over extracted, causing bitter flavors, and some that is being under extracted, causing acidic flavors. This is all the more important in espresso, where everything from water contact time to beverage size is concentrated down, exaggerating any unevenness. The unfortunate truth of making espresso at home is that you really do get what you pay for when it comes to equipment, MATOW WDT distribution tool can help compensate for those shortcomings by evenly distributing coffee in the portafilter to promote more even extractions and better espresso. SPECIFICATION: Main Body Material & Self-Align Stand: Anodized aluminum CNC; Needles Material: 304 Stainless steel; Weighted Base Material: 304 Stainless steel; Total Length: 4.33 in (110mm); Wire Length: 2.44 in (62mm) PACKAGE CONTENT: 1 x Espresso WDT Distribution Tool 1 x Self-Aligning Stand 1 x Weighted Base & Cash Tray

Great build quality, excellent tool
Works exceptionally well (definitely much better than the toothpick I was mucking around with earlier) and makes a real difference for getting consistent brew times. As advertised, it does not scratch the portafilter. What positively surprised me was the build quality and the nice hefty feel of the metal handle, as well as a real metal tool stand. Very solid all around. ... show more

Solid build quality
Quality is really exceptional. I must admit, I bought this for my girlfriend, because I love the 0.4mm needle width (nice and firm, and not sharp), and now I like it better than the one I own at home. I think I will have to order another one if these for myself. Feels like an old-school product, in terms of build quality — heavy-duty plastic and metal. Order up if you’re on the fence! ... show more

Not A Bad WDT, One Small Change Would Make It Great.
TL;DR; It stirs and breaks up clumps. Not much more is required of this little device, and It works as it is intended! Pros: - [ ] Straight needles/prongs that fit the Flair Espresso Classic on up - [ ] The tips are not as sharp as acupuncture needles that DIY versions use - [ ] Has a stand to keep it from rolling all over the place Cons: - [ ] Needles can be pulled out if the center isn't tight - [ ] No easy way to unscrew the center which would make changing bent needles all that much easier - [ ] A bit on the expensive side The Full Review Having printed my own WDT for use with my Flair, I am not a stranger to the need of these tools. The one I printed though.. it WILL draw blood. Using acupuncture needles, which this WDT is as well but they are blunt tips, is the most common method of making these tools. having one already made with tips that won't crave your blood is certainly a nice thing to have! The weight of this WDT is nice. It gives you a good feel in the hand, and the base/stand won't easily move on you. It should also help the needles not pierce your hand or foot if it happens to drop, although you will still know that you have dropped it after the thud. Speaking of dropping, at this price I expected there to be an easy way to replace the needles should something happen to the WDT. While you "can" unscrew the center of the tool and get the needles in and out, it would be nice if that had been considered and designed into the WDT. Being able to replace things that can get bent easily is a great selling point for me. ... show more

Needles come out and no Replacement needles available
Review Image by Troy
All great quality, works great. Delivers great complete soaked ground beans, etc. No issues with anything. Better than average! My issue was the needles came out of their spring holder and could not get them back in. Looked for replacement needles but none so have to buy another entire item. Why coming out? Why no replacement needles? ... show more
