I have a basement wood shop and I have struggled to keep the humidity low and consistent to keep the moisture content of the wood inventory within the proper range for furniture building. It is a full basement and I have used "residential" dehumidifiers from various brands over the years with spotty results due to the large square footage of the area. This is a step up to a commercial unit that is rated for up to 6500 square foot spaces. My first concern was the noise level. would a unit this powerful be overly loud? The answer is no. The noise level is not significantly different than the residential unit that it is replacing. My second concern was size. Would a commercial unit be so large as to be in the way and "waste" valuable floor space? Again the answer is no. Although it is horizontal vs the residential units which are typically vertical formats the size is perfectly acceptable. (See photo) I ran the drain hose directly into the cap on my sump pump well so I never have to worry about the water that is generated. When I installed the unit the humidity in the shop was at 57%. In just a couple of hours it was reduced to the 45% that I had set it for. Overall I am very pleased with the unit and would recommend it.

I purchased the AFW2.0D 125 pt. on 06/11/25 and received the next day. . This will be my first review and will have a followup after a few months run time. I have a 2730 sq.ft. walk-in crawl space with a plastic vapor barrier. My old dehumidifier died several days prior and the humidity climbed to 79.1%. (lots of ran for the last few days). I installed the unit at 6:30 pm and by 10:30 pm the humidity had dropped to 67.7%. and by noon the following day the humidity is reading 58.1 %. That being said, at this point I am thoroughly pleased.

I had this Waykar 125 Pint for about a week and since I plugged it in the humidity has been closing in on 30% while drying out a smaller but historically damp room in the basement. Smaller dehumidifiers were unable to get the humidity below 50%, only slowing the growth of mold. This one is giving me hope through the coming humidity this summer. Even more important has been the AWESOME Waykar customer service. The first 6500sqft machine stopped producing condensate after about 6 months but Waykar quickly swapped it out with a later model. Correspondence with their Customer Service has been top notch and is what convinced me to try again. Some time things happen and it was great to find out this company goes the extra mile to make things right. If only all companies had the same philosophy!

The media could not be loaded. I have a basement and connected crawlspace area that in the past have used two dehumidifiers to keep dry. The problem has been during the wetter months of the year, both units would run continuously trying to keep up. One of the units I was able to connect to a drain, but the other required me to keep emptying the tank when it got full. When I saw this reasonably priced commercial dehumidifier on Amazon, I gave it a shot. The unit took me 10 minutes to set up, and I was amazed how fast the humidity levels were dropping. I achieved a 15% drop in humidity within 3 to 4 hours. My previous setup would take at least 24 hours. The unit has a pump, but I have been using the gravity drain since it was near my HVAC condensation pump. The noise is higher than my prior dehumidifier, but that is because it is processing a much higher volume of air with great results. It is not intended to be set up in a room you would occupy, so the noise doesn't matter. When I am in the room, it is less noisy than my HVAC unit, so no complaints. If you have a larger area that has constant moisture issues, this is the way to go!

The manual says the pump will lift water 15 ft. -- but the hose is only 6 ft. long.! I only need a 4 ft. lift but need to put the dehumidifier about 8 feet from the drain I have to use -- so I need a 12 ft. hose. Other dehumidifiers I've purchased for much less have 12 ft. hoses. Also, the hose clamp is defective -- I cannot budge the screw even with the clamp in a vise.
