I originally bought the Waverider Floating Sunglasses to keep in my glove box as a backup pair, but after forgetting my main set one day, I haven't looked back. These have officially been promoted to my primary sunglasses. The Standout Features: Superior Clarity: The polarized lenses provide excellent protection from harsh sun and glare. Whether I'm driving or outdoors, the vision is crisp and comfortable. The "Head Wear" Test: This is a game-changer—if you know, you know. When I move inside and pop these on top of my head, my hair doesn't get snagged in the nose pads! It's a small detail that makes a huge difference in daily wear. Build & Style: They look really sharp and feel much more high-end than the price point suggests. They feel sturdy yet are incredibly lightweight. Bonus Storage: I love that they come with a soft case. It gives me peace of mind throwing them into my backpack or back into the glove compartment knowing they won’t get scratched up by keys or gear. Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses is often a journey of trial and error, especially when you’re transitioning from a well-loved pair of metal frames to something new. After my previous lenses became a mosaic of scratches after just a year, I initially tried the DIY route by ordering replacements on Amazon. While they fit the frames, the noticeable distortion made them uncomfortable for daily use. This led me to try a new pair through the Vine program, and the experience has been a mix of technical relief and physical adjustment. The most immediate improvement was the visual clarity. As soon as I put these on, the distortion I had struggled with in my previous lenses vanished. Interestingly, these lenses feature a slightly lighter tint than my old pair. While some might prefer a darker "blackout" look, I’ve found that a lighter tint is actually a benefit as I get older; it provides enough protection without making the world feel overly dim. However, the transition to these frames hasn't been entirely seamless. Coming from slim metal frames, these feel much more substantial—and not always in a good way. The Feel: One of the arms has a tendency to irritate the skin above my ear, which can be distracting during long periods of wear. The Profile: The frames are quite thick. Unlike my old metal pair that blended into the background, these are very "present" in my peripheral vision. Coverage: On the plus side, the coverage is excellent. They fill almost my entire field of vision, though I did notice a small amount of sunlight leaking in through the sides. In terms of build quality, they feel solid and well-made. Like any eyewear, their longevity will ultimately depend on how well I treat them, but I don’t anticipate any structural issues. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I really love the look of them; they have a distinct style that stands out, even if the thickness of the frames takes some getting used to. If you value crisp, undistorted optics and a moderate tint that doesn't sacrifice visibility, these are a strong choice. Just be prepared for a "bulkier" feel if you are moving away from minimalist metal frames.

As an active ocean surfski paddler I’ve tried many sports sun glasses over the years and have finally found a pair that work for me in racing conditions. The wrap around style provides substantial protection from spray and the salt water anti scratches polarized lenses provide clear views to spot the next wave to drop into. The rubber nose pads and arms means they don’t slip when moving around and the light weight frames means I forget that I’m wearing them. When wearing my hat the lenses don’t fog up which has been a major problem for other sunglasses I’ve worn in the past. In the rare occasions I’ve dropped them, they float so easy to retrieve rather than losing another pair of glasses to the depths of the ocean. Overall these are great value for money, light weight and comfortable fit with amazingly clear lenses that are perfect for ocean paddle sports.

The style of these glasses are sporty and stylish. I got the translucent frame with the amber mirrored lenses. The lenses have pretty good clarity and cut down glare. The sunglasses are lightweight and flexible, yet sturdy. They have silicone overlays on the ear and nose piece meant for gripping but they slid down my nose more often than not, especially when I was sweating. They repeatedly fell off my nose when I bent over during most activities. Since I had those issues, I think there’s a likelihood of them falling off during land and water sport activities. I can’t say whether they float or not since I never put them in water. As a female, the situations I experienced could have been because I have a smaller face. The sizing is geared for people with larger faces, mostly men. Either way, I think the nose piece would slip for either sex. At $39.99 they are a bit higher in price compared to others on the market. I wouldn’t recommend them, especially for women.

Needing new sunglasses, I ordered this pair of Waverider Floating Polarized Sunglasses in the horizon blue color with blue mirrored lenses. The listing states that it has "full UV 400 protection" and are "Built for medium to larger faces", so that must be me, since they fit perfectly and comfortably. When wearing, they stay put without slipping, no matter what angle my head is at. The lens is much clearer than my last pair of similarly priced sunglasses, which I noticed, only because I had cataract surgery and can now see sharper and clearer. The listing states that they float but I'm using them to drive with, and I am enjoying using them. They do what I want them to do without fuss, but they definitely won't be mistaken for an expensive pair of sunglasses They're very lightweight but appear to be holding up well after a month of heavy use and they come with a nice case. They are stylish and a good value.
