Currently, as of May 18, 2016, using this Blue Sky Basics (almost) waterproof pouch during my trip to the Philippines. I've used the black pouch twice, and it's nearly waterproof. I used it around my waist, under my swim suit, and it conceals very nicely (I'm a male... so ladies, don't expect to conceal this under your bikini bottom.) My test was in both swimming pools and Jacuzzi, but never in the ocean. At two different hotels, the entire pouch was completely submerged for one to two hours, typically at 12 inches to 36 inches underwater, while I sat in the Jacuzzi or stood, and swam, in the pool... including swimming underwater the entire length of the pool. After each day's use, I opened the pouch and found only a slight moistness on some of the interior of the pouch, with perhaps a drop, or two, of water at the bottom. Truly I was impressed! Water is so invasive that it's difficult to keep it out of anything submerged; but this pouch (with it's 3 separate seals) did an amazing job of limiting water penetration inside the pouch. My recommendation for those of you who wish to keep important paper items inside, such as currency or passports, is to first enclose your valuables inside of a disposable clear plastic zip-lock bag, or two, and then put the zip-lock bag(s) inside of the Blue Sky Basics Waterproof pouch... and then make sure that you competently close all three seals of the waterproof pouch. At this point, you have 4 or 5 seals working on your behalf... and it's very unlikely that even a single drop of water will reach your protected items. For me personally, I did not use the sealed zip-lock bag inside the main pouch option, as I only kept my hotel room key/card inside the pouch while swimming. Summary: For the money, I find this waterproof-ish pouch to be exemplary. I bought it with hesitation, but was pleasantly surprised by it's effectiveness. I give this 2 Pack of Waterproof pouch TWO THUMBS UP. * If you're a scuba diver, and you intend to take this pouch underwater, to suspect water depths, then you may wish to test the pouch with non-valuable items inside, before you use it in actual practice, though, as my tests were never deeper than 6 feet underwater. ... show more

Ordered this after looking at the reviews. Turns out a lot of the high end reviews are people that got freebies or discounts to try this product. So look at the 1 star reviews instead. As of March 27,2016 there are 2 1 star reviews and no 2 star. One of the 1 star reviews is a woman that said she couldn't open the seals. Lol. The other one had a phone ruined because the case wasn't truly waterproof. Any shred of doubt is bad and I still have a measure of distrust with putting a $600+ phone in a $10 pouch and trusting it to be safe. So when I received these I spent a LOT of time inspecting them and reading the instructions. Guess what? The company completely stands behind them because they TELL you to put a piece of tissue inside, seal it up and put it in a sink for 2 hours (even suggested weighing it down to keep it underwater). The seals are very firm and seem very sturdy, and the Velcro strip holds the folded up seals in place, so I'd have to think it would take a puncture to violate the integrity of the seal, but I tested it out anyway. The company says if there's a failure to call them and they'll replace it. So you really can't go wrong. Passed with flying colors. As others have noted you will want to wipe down the outside as you open seals because water gets in the folds and around the seals, but the ones I have worked fine with the basic sink test. Nobody really talked about wearing one of these against bare skin (I intend to wear mine under my swim trunks against my skin) and was concerned with sharp edges. Thankfully all the corners are rounded, there's no sharp edges on the buckles or snaps, and the belt is soft nylon so it seems to be fine to wear against bare skin. Still a measure of doubt so I put another piece of tissue in the blue one and went to the gym with it under my workout clothes. Biking, walking, presses, squats, a shower after the workout (kept it on throughout) got back home opened it up and still bone dry inside. That's what I needed to know and I feel a lot better knowing I can bang it around and move with it and it still maintains integrity. The little picture showing the blue one as touch screen friendly made me chuckle. Believe it or not my iPhone 6S is totally usable inside the pouch which is just a nice bonus overall (the fingerprint scanner doesn't work but I can live with that). It would suck to have to take it out to use it in a wet environment in the first place but having the screen be totally functional while in the pouch is awesome. I have a tempered glass screen protector on my phone too and it was still perfect, no lag or inaccuracy at all. Am I scared still? Absolutely, and I still haven't made the leap of putting my phone inside and taking a shower, but so far this item has turned out to be a gem. I plan on using the black one for flying to keep boarding passes and passports secure and then using the blue one at the pool and beaches to keep my wallet, phone and hotel key safe and secure. I swim constantly during the summer, so I'm always looking for ways to keep my money, phone, keys, etc. dry while I'm in the water. I tried these pouches recently and they worked great! I tested the pouch in water prior to putting my money and car keys inside. None of the water leaked into the pouch so I was pretty confident that I could trust it with my phone and other items. Usually my money gets wet in these types of pouches, but this time no water came through and all of my items remained dry. I use a protective pouch for my phone so that I can take it out to take pictures while I'm in the water. This pouch had enough room to fit the phone in the protective case, my keys and my money. It was also nice that you could wear them around your waist. I would give it 5 stars if it had options to wear it around your neck or was easier to seal. There is a double seal which is good for protection but makes it a little harder to close quickly. ... show more
