First thing you got to know is this is not a heavy duty top. But it is a good little top for the price. As many other have stated it does not come with assembly instructions, however even with that handicap I had it put together in less than 5 minutes. I think the straps and carabiners could be a little beefier, but again, you are not paying a lot for this top so you have got to expect there will be some things you would like to see a little better. All that being said, I installed this on an 8 foot jon boat and it works perfectly. I certainly enjoyed the break from the direct sun as well as the rain that came later. I don’t think this top will stand up to much abuse, but if you take care of it and not abuse it, I believe it will last a while. I do not regret this purchase at all. ... show more

It's a little on the flimsy side but expected for the price, assembly was fairly easy, recommended hardware doesn't fit I had to shim it with spacers I had layin around sleved it with some new fuel line to avoid the rattle.

This product doesn’t have any accessories to mount the base to where the paddles are like the other ones I have seen this one doesn’t include and also the size is smaller so it won’t fit any boat width very cheap Bimini top I completely thru my money to the garbage

Added this to a small 12' boat My boat is about 2" narrower than this listing, and they still fit fine. Tops looks good on that size and its held up to cruising speeds around 25mph on the water. The material is flimsy, and I don't expect more than 2 years from it, honestly. I suspect I may have to patch it or get a cover made for it (my likely route) if the hardware holds up. This is the cheapest option to a avoid the sun on my jon boat. You get what you pay for! No directions, but pretty obvious. Did not come with mounting hardware for support struts or straps.

    • Great for a little fishing boat
Let me start this off with I’m a redhead that does not get along with the sun so my kids are the same. My boys can set this up theirselves and use it when fishing in our pond. It folds down nice I only with it had either straps the hold it together or some kind of pouch for when you are transporting the boat. I used bungee cords and they worked but all the slip covers I have found are too large for it. If they made a storage pouch/ cover I would buy it in a heart beat.     • Sags horribly. I had to jerryrig a roof frame to keep it up
I would definitely return it but it took so crazy long to get it to work, I don't want to take it off. Despite it being taut in front and back, the canvas top sags onto my head. At least it's worth the joke because the grandkids think it's funny. But I don't.

Easily installed this on a Sundolphin American 12 in about 15 minutes. If you get the suggested hardware be aware that the Bimini mounting pole connection is too wide for the pin to fit. Having said that, the hardware is quality and fit the boat. You can still use the included connecting bolt in the Bimini kit and just get a longer quick disconnect pin later.
