I got these water shoes so that my feet wouldn’t get chewed up when we went paddle boarding. The shoes themselves look good, especially for water shoes. And they have enough of a sole so that they are comfortable to wear while walking to the launch site, and while on the paddle board. The thickness, of the bottom of the shoes, is pretty generous. I’m glad that it is because it protects my feet from rocks, thorns, garbage, etc. I’m not so sure that I could walk on glass without it poking through the shoe, but there are lots of shoes that would protect my feet from broken glass, but I don’t want them. They are generally quite heavy, and aren’t meant to hold up in the water repeatedly. This isn’t a deterrent about these shoes at all, just an observation. The shoes are pretty basic water shoes, and that’s how I wanted them. If I had wanted a heavier, thicker shoe, then I would have purchased a pair of tennis shoes, or something along those lines. The whole point to the water shoes is that they give basic protection for my feet, and offer some stability while on the board. They are certainly priced right where I think that they should be for a pair of water shoes. I’m happy with what I ordered, and what I received. They work perfectly fine for the reasons that I purchased them for.

TLDR; great for wide feet and feel like wearing nothing at all. Totally recommend. I just wore these to south carolina for a week every day to the pool and beach. They were great. I have wide feet so I was ok paying extra because these are unisex and should be wider. They were indeed wide and didn't cut into the top of my midfoot. I was able to wear them for 2 or 3 hours with no issues. They actually have a decent amount of cushion but not so much they are weird when in the water and try to float. You also have room to wiggle your toes a bit. If you have extra wide feet you can remove the insole and they're still comfy. Idk why the reviews say they are slippery. I had no issues with that and I walked around the pool a lot because of my kid. Also to the room and back. I mean while in the pool they're not super grippy but no shoes are going to be. They gripped enough that I could walk while in the pool and felt safe and stable walking back to the room, even while still wet. ***They feel like you're not wearing shoes at all, even in the pool or walking in beach sand*** I was able to trudge through the sand without it getting all in my shoes and under my toes and all that. The only thing is the string was annoying as it felt like something was touching my foot in the ocean LOL. I paid $22 in May 2026 which is more than most water shoes but again I was willing to pay more for the wide size and ultimately they were worth it. I normally wear 9 wide in women's new balance or 9.5 in women's Altra. I think these shoes fit true to size. They dry overnight. If we went back out the same day sometimes they were still damp but it's not like they are waterlogged. Overall I recommend getting them!

Initial Review: initial thoughts were that they might not fit, but they did. I have big feet with odd tailor bunions and toes, and these fit on quick and easy. Adjusts easily, color is accurate and vibrant, and I think the shoes are light weight. I will update this review with more information after use!

Great shoe for the sand and grips well on rocks for me. Easy to remove and slide back on without filling with sand while using (believe it or not it’s hard to find a shoe that can do that!). I’ve bought probably 5-6 pairs of these and find that there is only one adjustment I hope they make; add more rubber on the outside edge of the shoe. They last me about 7-8 months before the sides blow out from walking over rocks. Otherwise it’s a great shoe for the price and I’ve tried A LOT! lol.

These are exactly as advertised, and a good water shoe choice when you need a more substantial sole (sole is still quite flexible, but thicker and heavier than the drugstore water shoes). I would not wear these hiking or anywhere that is rocky, they are too thin and flexible for that. The sole has drainage holes that work very well, and the upper fabric is solid so sand cannot get in the sides (but will through the top of the shoe if submerged). This is an improvement over the mesh style that get tons and tons of sand in them in the surf. The adjustable lacing means they stay on in the water and surf, and I was able to wear them comfortably both barefoot and with heavy neoprene waterproof socks in a cold water situation. There is no internal arch support, they are completely flat inside. I put my 1/2 orthotics inside no problem, so the lack of arch support was not an issue. These are made of a thin synthetic neoprene-like material, so they do absorb water and will need to be dried in the sun completely to avoid the dreaded wet-gear stink (they took about 2.5 hours to dry completely in the tropical sunshine). These are great for Dragonboat, SUP, and kayak paddling where you might need foot protection to get from the parking lot to the water, and they have been nonslip in these situations. I have used upwards of 20 different water shoes over the years, and if these last they will be in the top 3-- they are a bargain at the price. Sizing seems a touch big for women, but not way off. If you are only wearing barefoot and want a snug fit, then maybe go a 1/2 size down. I ordered the same size as my running shoes, and they were a little loose in the forefoot area, which was fine since I do sometimes use them with neoprene socks in cold weather. If I was only using in warm weather, I would have gone smaller. No blisters or spots that rub, but YMMV.
