  • Really great concept for people or pets who might get lost and can't speak for themselves
Color: Black
This is an interesting concept - and actually not what I initially thought it was going to be. Essentially it's a qr code which you can scan with your camera app plus a tappable card that some phones can read (I used the qr code) ... you sign in, create an account, and list details about yourself that people might need to know if you were unconscious etc. You can seemingly put whatever - contacts, allergies, things like if you have Autism and are non-verbal. You could even put one on a pet's collar (not listed on the product page that I saw, but would totally work). There's no subscription fee for the basic service, just the cost of the tag. I mean, if you're tech savvy you could create a web page with all that info, print the qr code on a tag of some sort, and wear it - but for $16, this is just as effective and a hella lot easier. Not as private, I grant you, and I do not of course know what, if anything, the company uses the entered data for, so that might be a concern. It is a company based out of Florida, and the product really needs no complicated infrastructure - just a server to hold the data, a web or app designer, and a means to manufactur the tags, so again, no complex embedded spyware to worry about. I personally will not use it on my watch as a healthy adult, but I know people with small kids, or kids with developmental delays, or parents with dementia, or pets, who would absolutely find it useful. If there is anyone who might be out and about and unable to speak for themselves to get help, this could definitely come in handy for a very low cost. ... show more

  • Truly A Life Saving Device! L👁️👁️K! Truly A Life Saving Device! L👁️👁️K!
Color: Navy
I found this product by accident and it’s something I think everyone should have. It’s called the Watch Band Medical ID Tag, what it does is provide instant emergency identification that anyone can access with their smart phone. There are NO subscriptions or batteries needed. It’s a Family Owned Company and all this product uses is a simple QR Code attached to a device that fits Most Watch bands. By using a Smart phone anyone can instantly access the profile you created, learn about the person requiring medical help and even have emergency contacts too! You can add as much information as you want including graphics and photos. This is especially useful for any family member or loved one who has a medical condition that could result in them becoming unconscious or unable to communicate. It can also be accessed by NFC which is how you use your phone to pay for items at checkout. It is easily visible on their wrist for first responders to see and review quickly. You access the QR code to setup your free account and then follow the prompts. This is a special gift that clearly shows you care. It is simple yet so effective in letting help know what is wrong with you. This is a simple, easy to use, affordable gift that shows you care and I recommend it! • NOT A WATCH NOT A WATCH
Color: Navy
I clearly need to start reading product descriptions more carefully. When I ordered this item, I didn't pay close attention and fully expected an actual smart watch to show up at my door. As you can see from the packaging, the label plainly states "Watch Band ID Slide" and explicitly says "Fits Most Watches" right on the sticker. It is not a watch, but rather a small medical ID tag meant to slide onto a watch band you already own, as shown in the photos. Once I got over my own lack of attention to detail, I realized this little gadget is actually brilliant. It uses NFC technology ("Tap Here"), allowing anyone to simply tap their phone against it to bring up a vital health and safety profile. You can also simply scan the QR code that is on the opposite side. During setup you create an online profile where you can list your blood group, diagnosis, emergency contacts, and medical needs. People can call you from the profile page. It's a potentially life-saving peace of mind for anyone managing medical conditions, allergies, or for caregivers looking out for loved ones. So, while it won't tell me the time, it does exactly what it's actually designed to do beautifully. Just make sure you bring your own watch! ... show more

  • Usefulness depends on watch band size Usefulness depends on watch band size
Color: Navy
This is a very interesting product that probably should provide more guidance around which watches it works on. I have an Apple Watch 10, but have replaced the band that came with it with a wider Velcro based nylon band for better comfort and ease of use. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photo below that watchband is too wide to fit the tag onto. I did test it out with a Milanese metal mesh band and found that it did fit, though it was difficult to get the clasp through the opening in the tag - as you can see in another photo. The product itself is exceptionally simple. It consists of a silicone rectangle with a slot going through it that you can slide onto that really hurt me a watchband. The square or tag has a NFC chip in it as well as a small QR code, which anyone finding the watch or finding you wearing the watch can scan to pull up a webpage which provides basic information on the User of the band, including contact numbers and information about their preferred hospital, any medications they are on, or any medical or other issues they have. It’s very similar to the medical alert bracelets that I wore as a kid because I was allergic to these things. I can only assume that emergency personnel know to look for such a band on your watch in order to quickly find information they can use to identify and treat you. Setting the online presence up to carry your information is pretty straightforward and only took me about 10 minutes. You add a photograph, some basic contact information, medical information, and even a personal bio if you choose to do so. This can all be done from the phone itself and you get to the website by setting up an account using the QR code itself. There is no application to load onto your phone and it uses your camera to scan the QR code as a way of accessing that information.. The tag text is very easy to read and figuring out how to use it based on the short message on the tag is quite simple. One of the most useful things about it is that you aren’t creating a permanent and unchangeable record like you do with so many physical bracelets. You can update the information on the website anytime you want from your phone or computer to add additional information or edit what is there already. There are several membership levels which allow you to pay for additional function such as GPS location, but I did not try any of these. I just went with the free version which allows you to store basic information with very little extra bells and whistles. Once on your watch, anyone finding you or your watch will be able to quickly get all kinds of information about you, including how to contact you to return your watch, contact with a relative or other person who can help, or information a doctor can use in treating you such as your med list. It’s pretty bare bones, with the price point is excellent and the set up is quite easy. Going back to my very first opinion of this product, it is only useful if it will fit over the band of the watch that you were using. If you’re using the basic band that came with your Apple Watch, Samsung or Google Pixel watch - it will probably work for you. And since it doesn’t rely on the watch or a watch app to get the information for whoever finds it, you don’t have to be concerned if your watch battery has died. Overall, if it fits your watch, this is an excellent product at a good price. If you have a large watchband or one with a large end to it, it may be useless to you unless you want to switch back to a basic band. It was not a great fit for me because of the band that I chose but for someone using a basic band, I could highly recommend it.. ... show more

  • Be cautious, it's of no value if it doesn't fit your watch band. Be cautious, it's of no value if it doesn't fit your watch band.
Color: Navy
I assumed the marketing stating the band fits most wristwatches, including my Apple Watch, meant it would fit, but it doesn't. My problem is I upgraded my watch band to a synthetic 'spandex' type (see pictures). Be cautious; mine is a loop band, and the device can't fit over the end connectors. While I find the concept valuable, and as someone with a medical diagnosis, a Medical ID Tag is invaluable, my opinion is solely on the tag fit, not the science, which I find valuable. I rated it two stars because I can't use it, but it CAN work if your watch band is an original wristband. ... show more

  • We use it as a high tech dog tag!
Color: Black
This review is for "Watch Band Medical ID Tag, Instant Emergency Identification, NO Subscriptions, NO Batteries, Family Owned Company, QR Code, No Apps, Fits Most Watches". No mention that this can be used for pets....but that's exactly what I'm using this for. It's essentially a high tech dog tag. Simply scan and all the info I entered shows up in case our dog is lost or stolen. Very convenient. No battery whatsoever to worry about. Just do it once and attach to our dog's leash and forget about it. ... show more

  • Great for emergencies! Fits perfectly on my watchband Great for emergencies! Fits perfectly on my watchband
Color: Black
This is an amazing little tool in case you're ever in an emergency. The paramedics and doctors can tap right on the top or scan the back QR code and it brings up all kinds of information that you set. It fits snuggly on my Apple Watch's wristband. Very obvious for anyone who might be loading me into an ambulance to see. But not so obvious that others are going to ask you about it. Highly highly recommend! ... show more

  • simple but useful product simple but useful product
Color: Navy
You can carry a paper note or such and it would be roughly equivalent to this. But then you have to worry about the note fading or getting torn. This is a simple QR/NFC device that slips on a watch band, although it can easily go on a necklace. If an emergency situation arise, someone can just scan the QR code or NFC tap to get any important information you want to share about medical needs. Nice value for a simple but useful tool for those who need it. ... show more
