I cannot wait to use this lovely serving set at the next gathering I have. This set gives me a feeling of slight rustic elegance, which really fits in with the feel of my home. The tray is made of lovely acacia wood, with recesses for the bowls to sit in to keep them from sliding or tipping, and the edge of the tray is raised, so if there are any sloshing or spills, it will stay contained to the tray and not all over your table. The bowls are ceramic, and the set I received has three different colored bowls: two pale pastel and one darker bowl for a dramatic pop of color. The bowls are about 5" across at the widest and have a good weight to them. I used water to test how much they would comfortably hold, and 1 cup of water filled it up nicely, with a little bit of headspace so it wasn't over-full. The tray cleans easily with a damp rag, and the bowls can be safely put in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. The bowls are also microwaveable, which is nice. I'm very pleased with this item!

This is an elegant and well made product. Perfect for serving appetizers and what not. However the bowls have these stars… that are just a bit weird. Instead of looking clean an elegant they stand out enough to make the product a little awkward? Like instead of serving appetizers they should be used for selling/displaying quartz or rocks. This is no the purpose of it… Pros: - elegant well made - wooden bottom is sturdy and good looking - bowls are good quality Cons: - stars etched on the bowls are weird… some people might like them, so in only deducting a star. They are physical, which means they are also hard to clean, and you have to be vigilant about cleaning them, especially when they’ve been used for dips like salsa, guacamole or hummus. Overall I’m still giving it 4 stars, but it could’ve been 5 without the stars.

This is a nice set that can be used together with the serving tray or individual bowls for whatever you need. I didn't even notice the stars initially but it's a nice touch that gives this set a bit of character. The wooden tray is very light and felt like fake wood, but it holds the three bowls well. This is perfect for taco or burger nights to hold toppings but also works well for dips. I have not tried to reheat in these bowls in the microwave due to the stars so I'm not sure if they spark or not. Overall a great set for everyday use and for larger dinner parties and gatherings. Highly recommend!
