It is warm, the zippers seem sturdy. We live in South Carolina so we don't need this kind of jacket too often. I bought it for my 5'4 son who walks home from school. He loves it. The Only issue I have which doesn't bother my son very much, is the hood is VERY large. It comes down way over his eyes. It is not proportioned with the hood. But since he doesn't need to use the good often, it doesn't bug him. It is a really long over the eyes hood. The faux fur trim is nice and soft with nice color.

I purchased this for my eight year old son who is fairly thin and the 10/12 size fits perfectly. I love the large hood and many pockets for him to put things. The pockets all Velcro closed as well so it’s more secure. The red color is great too! Very well made. The only complaint would be the zipper is pretty touchy as it gets the fabric stuck in it sometimes but after I showed my son how to hold the fabric back, it seems to work really well.

Purchased this for my 6 year old son and he is on the small side he is size 6T slim, the jacket is large on him but at least he will get a few seasons out of it, the hood is especially large. It seems warm and cozy and not too heavy of a coat.
