Bought these tires to convert my knobby down-hill tires into something more 'smooth road worthy'. I was not disappointed! Arrived on time coiled up in box. (note: uncoil the tires and lay them in the sun if possible to loosen them up to get out 'the shipping bends'.) I also replace my inner tubes as well.... INSTALLATION: 1. After tires have rounded into shape (mostly) from lying in the sun, gently insert inner tube into the tire (tire should NOT be on the rim 2. The inner tube may lie in the tire a little 'sloppy' at first (to be expected) 3. Here is the trick. SLOWLY fill the inner tube (as it lies in the tire) until it takes the shape of the tire - this will DRAMATICALLY help with rim installation. DO NOT OVERFILL 4. Once inner tube is somewhat inflated and fits snugly into the tire, place valve stem thru the time rim valve stem hole 5 Slowly work tire/inner tube combo 'around the rim' gently locking the tire bead into the rim bead. 6. Once that is complete, work your hands around the whole tire ensuring that the tire/inner tube fits snugly on the rim. If you have done this correctly the tire/rim configuration will look like a 'normal flat tire' 7. At this point, fill the tire (thru the valve stem) using an air compressor (or foot pump) 8. Inflate to MFG recommendation 9. Now you can enjoy a smooth ride on flat even surfaces just like a cruiser!! ... show more

The description says "Lightweight tires that will not add to the weight of your bicycle". Lightweight compared to a truck tire, perhaps, but weighing in at 1.01 kg. (2.22 pounds), these are anything but light. When the scale can't even give me a number in grams because it's over a kilo, it's heavy! -- especially for an industry in which folks will spend $$$$ for carbon this and titanium that, all to shave some weight. These tires are like an anchor to your wheels. My tires came with a strong rubber/VOC smell too -- much stronger than other tires I've purchased. But they're round and they hold. Mounting was typical, and being as wide and tall as they are, they're comfortable. For that, they serve their purpose. Overall, 3 stars - not good, but not awful, either. I gave 4 stars only because there is nothing special or exceptional about these tires. They are exactly as stated; 26 x 2.15 bicycle tires. Whitewalls. The price was very reasonable. Blackwalls were $1 less, but not on Prime, so the whitewalls ended up being cheaper. The tires arrived quickly in perfect condition and were easy to install. I also bought new tubes and wheel liners (spoke strips.) I bought them for a Garden Way Model 26 Cart that I restored. (pictured) I thought the whitewalls would look good on it. ... show more

    • Tread between road and mountain bike tire

I don’t know a lot about bike tires, but I couldn’t find any replacements in stores and these were reasonably priced. (I also ordered two inner tubes separately.) I was able to successfully install them on a 90s era bicycle without using tools. They look nice and spruced up the bike immediately. I would say the tread runs somewhere between a road tire and a mountain bike trail-type tire. ... show more

Tire fits loose and came off the rim when I started to inflate it. I had another tire with exactly the same dimensions printed on the the sidewall which fit very well and stayed on the rim when tire was inflated to 40 PSI. This tire came off the rim when only inflated to 15 PSI. Very poor manufacturing. Don't waste your money. TIRE IS PURE JUNK. ... show more

The tire appears to be a good tire. However, I am concerned with how loose they were when putting on the rim. I easily rolled them with tubes on the rim and they were very loose. This said, once they were filled to proper pressure they seem to fit ok and seal up on the rims. But I do question what will happen if pressure drops in the tires, will they get loose and possibly come off while riding? only time will tell exactly how well they truely work and if any problems. Sorry I am used to having to use tire spoons to remove and install tires, and question things when they are loose like these. ... show more
