I am always reluctant to order lumber I am using for projects, on line. With the shortage of wood, my local lumber yard basically just has scrap hardwood.     • Excellent Hardwood but Costly

I ordered a few boards in a few different species from this company. The wood arrived in separate packages as expected. The wood is excellent and packaged well. My gripe is that the cost I paid for 2 separate orders, was combined into one and doesn't show an accurate total of what was ordered. This may be an issue wholey with Amazon. BUT I want to show how much in Board Feet is being charged. Walnut 3/4"x6"x3' = 1.125 Board Feet. ~ 2(pcs) = 2.25 2.25 bf/per 2 piece order Cost for me, of this posting = $22.15 Maple " " Cost for me, of this posting = $16.40 They have to surface/Kiln dry (very good for DIYer) and package and get the material in bulk to begin with so those costs are legit. But shop around if you wish to find much better pricing. It's Amazon so takes this with a grain of Maple. ... show more

This wood is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm hoping that my first buying experience was a fluke, and attributed to the carrier, and not the shipper. One of the boards is cracked entirely through, making the width of the board unusable about 5 in long. Fortunately I ordered enough wood for my project that those 5 inches will not hurt. I intend to order more wood from this shipper, in hopes that the quality of the wood remains the same. ... show more
