I purchased the chrome finish, which matched my fixtures nicely. The installation instructions aren’t very detailed, but it was simple enough to figure out and only took a few minutes to mount it to the wall. I used the foam cover that was shaped like the mirror to get an idea of where I wanted it before I installed it. It’s nice to have the option of either the power cord or batteries. When I removed the mirror to installed the 4 AAA batteries, I was happy to find that the the mirror is tethered to the unit with a cord to offer some protection in case you accidentally drop it. As other reviewers noted, the lighting isn’t stand alone and is mostly useful on the 10x magnification side since you have to get very close. ... show more

Takes 4 AAA batteries - I should have read more into it: I thought it was chargeable with USB. It's not unless I purchase chargeable batteries. Otherwise, it is a good mirror and the lights are as bright as I would want them. I don't know how to use the 10X magnification on the opposite side - wish it was only 5X mag so I don't anticipate using that side much. ... show more
