  • Good quality mirrors, but installation challenges
Ordered three of the 48" x 72" for a home gym project. Received them in three separate deliveries over the course of 8 days, each for which I had to be home in a 4 hour window. They are thick, heavy mirrors with good visual clarity, however there is no 1" bevel on this mirror as shown in the photo and stated by the seller in an answer to questions about the bevel. Also, the installation hardware and installation instructions are not great, so you need to be ready for a few challenges. First, the mirrors are not quite 48" wide however, so if you are hanging multiple of these together, make sure to get an accurate measurement of yours and cut the j-bar to length before installing. Level installation of multiple j-bars is critical, so I would suggest a six foot level to install the first j-bar, then install the additional j-bars as you go, leveling them with the first installation with the mirror sitting in it. The mirrors rest on a foam strip in the j-bar, so you can play with that a little (stretching, doubling up, etc.) to account for lack of level. However, I found that I had to put the first mirror in, square it up, then adjust the jbar on the wall to get the second mirror in square, etc. in order to eliminate the gaps between the mirrors while ensuring the butt ends of the mirrors were taking NO WEIGHT between them in the installation, otherwise they might crack over time. This probably goes without saying to any experienced (or non-lazy) do-it-yourselfer, but don't use the supplied wall anchors and screws - they are crap! The wall anchors would just spin in the wall and never let you draw the mounting screw in tight enough to clear the mirror in the jbar. I put a few quality drywall anchors in, mostly on the ends, but because I was having to re-level the j-bars as I went, I found drilling my own mounting holes and using screws into studs was the most flexible installation method. If you try to drive the supplied screws into studs, however, they will just shear off, even at low speeds, so they're pretty much useless as well. I used 3 inch drywall screws which countersank themselves into the drilled mounting holes nicely. The safety backing is loosely applied and peels off rather easily, so you can only use adhesive in the four square points where no safety backing exists. However, this does not allow the mirror to adhere flatly to the wall, and your mirrors may have a slight bow. If you have multiple of these in a row, that means a visual deformation as your reflection moves from one mirror to the next (see the attached photo). Overall, I wish I had bought mirrors without the safety backing and with a bevel - they would have been cheaper, I could have properly glued them to the wall, and it would have provided a smoother visual break between mirrors. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy
Style: HD Mirror Size: 36" x 60"
Giving this 3 stars because it arrived un-damaged and after a (sucky) installation it technically does its job. Look, I know all the other reviews gave this 4 or 5 stars, but my experience was much different. I didnt get all the parts for installation in the video, had to use my own anchors and screws, manually put in rubber to cushion the mirror, and had to rebend the entire J-bar because it did not allow the mirror to fit. After that huge pain in the ass, I get it mounted and discover the "look" or reflection of the mirror is off. I've been working out in the same room for 5+ years with a different mirror - I know how it's supposed to look. This mirror distorts the background and the further away you get the worse it looks. My eyes hurt and I'll likely have to throw it out. I wasted a lot of money and time on this product. Maybe the other reviewers were more fortunate than me, maybe the company has downgraded their product since, or maybe it is due to me ordering the 36×60. I'm not sure but dont be fooled. Look elsewhere for a mirror and dont make the same mistake I did. ... show more

  • A must have!
Perfect touch for home gym!

  • Buyer Beware, not safe, and not for use where kids will be.
Mounting hardware is not adequate for the weight of this mirror. The “safety” backing is a sticker and it’s bubbling across the back so I imagine if you break the mirror in the location of the large bubble (a foot in diameter in some sections) the safety won’t apply and that piece could come crashing down on a child. We installed these for a ballet room / weight room...so safety was key, and these are not safe. Additionally, the hardware to cover the top screws and hold the mirror is cheap and they don’t lay flush against the wall. The only thing good about this was the packing, it was so well packed so I imagine the costs you pay for this mirror is mostly in the packaging. ... show more

  • Manufacturer’s defects / customer service resolve
The media could not be loaded. I so wish these had been immaculate, because the thickness/quality seemed good. The mirrors (I ordered 3 panels) arrived undamaged despite minor damage to the shipping boxes. Unfortunately all 3 panels have manufacturer’s defect scratches baked into the glass (see video). They are not surface scratches, but rather seem to be in the glass itself. They are all over the mirrors, but you could easily miss them initially, so inspect your product extensively before install. They are most easily detected against a black background. In an otherwise busy room, you may not notice at first, or you may think the mirror just needs cleaned. As I demonstrate in the video, these scratches do not wipe out. Customer service was rocky at first, but we finally achieved an acceptable resolve. I opted to keep the mirrors for a discounted price because I had unfortunately already paid a significant amount to have a contractor install them. Thus I emphasize again: inspect the product in full light against a black background immediately following delivery. If you have an issue, report it the same day, because they have strict reporting guidelines. When I finally dealt with upper level management, they politely negotiated a fair resolve. Prior to that, I was repeatedly offered an insulting discount (15%) or paid return shipping if I delivered the items to a shipper (they weigh over 600 pounds total and are bigger than my SUV). I was repeatedly told there was nothing more they could do. Though I wish I had received a product that didn’t have issues, I am satisfied with the resolve and the mirrors are still functional and best experienced from a distance where the irregularities are less noticeable. ... show more
