I purchased 3 and they were delivered by a local trucking company to my door. I mounted them in a vertical orientation, two side by side and one on another wall. J-bar was fine. Top mounts also fine. Screws were poorly made and head broke off so I just used some high quality screws I had. The mirrors look fabulous, the glass is thick and covered with the safety materials on the back.     • VERY disappointed!! Fine scratches EVERYWHERE, hazy spots, poor mounting hardware, NO instructions!!

Where to begin?? Mirror arrives by freight and you're asked to make certain it's not broken which is wasn't. So my wife and I go to install it the next day and we find it has NO instructions whatsoever, and the ONLY mounting hardware it comes with is a bottom rail. Ok, easy enough to figure out. Find the studs in the wall, mount the bottom rail, insert mirror into rail. HOWEVER - there is no hardware to secure the top of the mirror - they did include some cheap off brand construction adhesive which I'm guessing they are wanting you to use to secure the top of the mirror to the wall but what if you don't want it mounted permanently?? Luckily I happened to have a couple of mirror clips on hand which I used to secure the top of the mirror to the wall - if you don't have these and you STILL buy this mirror after reading my review make sure to have 2 or 3 on hand to secure the top of the mirror. So, the mirror is now installed and it is FILTHY from shipping, so we grab the glass cleaner and paper towels only to discover once it is clean - there are HUNDREDS of small scratches EVERYWHERE on this mirror. Not deep enough to catch with your fingernail, but definitely visible!! There are also a couple of hazy spots that won't go away no matter how much you clean the mirror. Honestly this company should be ashamed of selling this mirror for $400 - but I'm sure they're not - they don't care - they have their money and you have a crummy mirror. They know you aren't going to return it because it's a MAJOR HASSLE to package and ship something this large. I've contacted the folks at Glass Doctor who offer a polishing service that hopefully will remove all the fine scratches. PROS: It's the biggest mirror I could find for our exercise room CONS: Fine scratches EVERYWHERE Hazy spots NO instructions Lackluster mounting hardware/system ... show more

    • Great product for my home gym.

I received two of these last week and hung them with the help of another person. Each one is pretty heavy, so it is really best to have a second person. The packing was really good. Even though I could see two places where forklift forks had penetrated the cardboard, both mirrors were intact with no issues. I saw on another review where someone complained about the amount of glue supplied. I'm not a mirror expert, but I think the glue is intended to keep the unit from falling away from the wall (which the provided hardware already takes care of anyway) and not to hold the weight of the unit to the wall. I barely used part of the tube that came with one of the mirrors for both mirrors. The amount of glue provided is more than needed. I hung two of these side by side with the length running from top to bottom. I had to cut one of the brackets to extend the first one to 8 feet. I think if I had to do it over again I would have taken a bit more time to ensure the extended piece was perfectly aligned with the first one. Maybe it would have been better to cut down both brackets to 4 foot lengths and put them side-by-side. Anyhow, the mirrors look great in my new home gym! ... show more

Ordered three of the 48" x 72" for a home gym project. Received them in three separate deliveries over the course of 8 days, each for which I had to be home in a 4 hour window. They are thick, heavy mirrors with good visual clarity, however there is no 1" bevel on this mirror as shown in the photo and stated by the seller in an answer to questions about the bevel. Also, the installation hardware and installation instructions are not great, so you need to be ready for a few challenges. First, the mirrors are not quite 48" wide however, so if you are hanging multiple of these together, make sure to get an accurate measurement of yours and cut the j-bar to length before installing. Level installation of multiple j-bars is critical, so I would suggest a six foot level to install the first j-bar, then install the additional j-bars as you go, leveling them with the first installation with the mirror sitting in it. The mirrors rest on a foam strip in the j-bar, so you can play with that a little (stretching, doubling up, etc.) to account for lack of level. However, I found that I had to put the first mirror in, square it up, then adjust the jbar on the wall to get the second mirror in square, etc. in order to eliminate the gaps between the mirrors while ensuring the butt ends of the mirrors were taking NO WEIGHT between them in the installation, otherwise they might crack over time. This probably goes without saying to any experienced (or non-lazy) do-it-yourselfer, but don't use the supplied wall anchors and screws - they are crap! The wall anchors would just spin in the wall and never let you draw the mounting screw in tight enough to clear the mirror in the jbar. I put a few quality drywall anchors in, mostly on the ends, but because I was having to re-level the j-bars as I went, I found drilling my own mounting holes and using screws into studs was the most flexible installation method. If you try to drive the supplied screws into studs, however, they will just shear off, even at low speeds, so they're pretty much useless as well. I used 3 inch drywall screws which countersank themselves into the drilled mounting holes nicely. The safety backing is loosely applied and peels off rather easily, so you can only use adhesive in the four square points where no safety backing exists. However, this does not allow the mirror to adhere flatly to the wall, and your mirrors may have a slight bow. If you have multiple of these in a row, that means a visual deformation as your reflection moves from one mirror to the next (see the attached photo). Overall, I wish I had bought mirrors without the safety backing and with a bevel - they would have been cheaper, I could have properly glued them to the wall, and it would have provided a smoother visual break between mirrors. ... show more
