We usually make our own mince meat pues, but this year we weren't able to. That said, these are great, buttery crust and not too sweet. Make sure you follow the directions for heating them up.

I love Walker's Shortbread. Consistently great ingredients and taste. I also love mincemeat pie so much I'll make it before apple or any other kind, any day. So, how could I not love these tasty looking little mincemeat "pies" made with shortbread for crust! They were shipped well without any crumbling and arrived on time. These sit within tiny aluminum type pie pans. Some noted mold on the little pans underneath the filling so I checked that first. No mold; they were clean and unblemished. Reviewers recommended microwaving them a few seconds to warm them up. But I couldn't get them out of the little pie pans without breaking the "pie" in half or knocking off all the top crust. I looked inside to find the mincemeat all dried up and stuck to the bottom. It was so dry, it was actually hard. I tried a bite anyway and it had a pronounced metallic taste. Obviously the little pie pans had leached into the mincemeat. I couldn't find a "Best By" date on the box so I don't know if this is a time problem for Walkers or a weather problem. Suffice it to say, though these had great potential, they were totally inedible. I threw them all away. Such a waste of money and resources. ... show more
