This was a bit pricey but you get a decent amount of shortbread treats to back up the cost. Walkers is well known for having some of the best shortbread and these do not disappoint.

Each day is a reveals a new shortbread cookie, the shapes repeat but they are all adorable. Each comes individually wrapped so they are super fresh and delicious. It takes all my willpower to only eat one a day, I have it first thing with my coffee for a sweet treat. Would definitely buy again!

Walkers is always a hit. A few cookies came broken, however they were sealed well and it was not a problem for us. It made it easier to share. We will be buying again next year!

Good Advent calendar with delicious cookies. The only drawback was the wrapped cookies slipping down under the top, so as to be in the wrong place when the window for the day was opened. We enjoyed it anyway and will probably buy again this year.

I love Walker's Shortbread, but because it's soooo good and tempting I usually limit myself to having it only at the holidays. For this year, my husband bought me the advent as a treat and to help moderate the intake. The box and the holiday scene is attractive, and the contents are fresh and as delicious as expected. There are even a couple of shortbread variations not readily available here in the States that I hadn't tried yet. But I did find the construction of the calendar lacking - within a couple of days of standing up, the spine of the opened box split away and fell into 2 pieces. We had to tape them back together to get it to stand up again which was a bit disappointing. Worse, we found that the doors didn't line up to the contents. Early on it was confusing as it appeared that there were 2 cookies for a particular day, only to find that another day located below the first one was now empty. That has been very disappointing. So great contents, but you may just want to purchase a box of cookies rather than the Advent calendar. ... show more

Yes, it is a boring Advent calendar, and there are only 5 or 6 "different" kinds of cookies and they are all basically shortbread, but that is exactly what I wanted. I love shortbread and Walker's is good and reliable. If I had a whole box I would eat it all and be very sick. This way I have one a day with my coffee and it makes me happy every morning.
