We got this bag and a pair of men’s size 10 roller blades for our son. He goes to our local rink on the weekends and wanted his own wheels. This bag was a great purchase and is plenty big enough to hold his blades, extra parts, his claw machine winnings and his clothes when he is going to a friends afterwards. He doesn’t wear or want any protective gear (nobody wears that stuff up there) but I’m sure a helmet and pads would fit without a problem. The bag is a thick nylon material and is stitched well, it has a padded anti-abrasion bottom with feet. The skate side pockets are well sized and have vents at the top, which works great for letting sweaty skates dry and air out. There is a netted pocket on the side and one on the back, he uses the back pocket for his drink and candy. There is a name card pouch on the side but he hasn’t put a card in it yet. On the top is a handle to grab and go and it has a fairly long adjustable strap to wear crossbody or like a sling backpack. Very handy if you skate often Able to fit all of my protective gear and some tools in center and still fit the skates . Zipper quality is pretty good which was my main concern

This is a great skate bag, and I really like the split design - your skates are stored separately on the two outside compartments, while the middle portion of the bag can hold your protective gear. Despite a very small footprint when folded, the bag can easily hold my inline skates, my helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards and a towel. The material is a cut above the comp bag that might have come with your skates. That said, it’s still pretty lightweight, so I don’t know how it will fare longer term with the weight and aluminum edges of my frames. The strap and carry handle are also on the lighter-weight side, with no padding, so this bag is ideal for lighter skates - my 125mm Powerslides definitely make the bag strap cut into my shoulder, so you might want to get a pad if you’ll be traveling any longer distances. ... show more

I got this for my daughter to store and haul her roller skates and knee and elbow pads, the latter of which are owned but never under any circumstances, used. The bag itself is more than large enough to carry roller skates and extra gear. It isn't flashy, but very functional. The bag is made of heavy weight nylon with good zippers and large, padded pull tabs on each. The shoulder strap is large enough to be useful and adjusts easily. It fits of the gear easily, although I can't speak to how a helmet would fit because apparently, they're gross and would totally mess up the do. Some reviews call for detailed descriptions and some I feel are better off with detailed images. I opted for the latter on this one. I read another persons review who said an adult-sized derby skate wouldn’t fit in this bag and I almost didn’t order. I did notice, however, that it appear as though they had attempted to put both skates together in one side vs one skate on each side of the bag. I could however be mistaken about their situation, afterall, the pic wasn’t extra clear and II don’t actually know what bag they received. I wear a size 11 women’s shoe. So the images I uploaded of the white skates with pink wheels, pink pom, is a pretty nice sample size for the Tanden skate bag I ordered and received. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I had been keeping my skates in their box and the protective pads on an unused chair. There was even room left in there for a helmet. It was well passed time to upgrade and consolidate. I’m very happy with the bag. My only qualm is what I would consider to be is its slightly garish logo treatment. Very unnecessary!! And I’d say a turn off for future purchasers. I recommend that be toned way down. But other than that, the functionality was great and definitely good enough for me to overlook a peeve I’d usually skip a purchase over. ... show more
