It was a pain to put together. Literally took all afternoon well into the evening. I've had easier to assemble pieces from Ikea. But all in all sturdy and looks good.

Once assembled, the desk looks pretty good and matches really well with other "rustic" finish furniture in the room. The pieces were in good shape with no scratches or anything other than a few minor areas where the "finish" was peeling up at the unfinished edges. That said, I ran into issue after issue with assembly. This is not my first time putting furniture like this together but it is my first time running into this many problems. First, when attaching the drawer slides, I had 4 different screws' heads snap off as I was tightening the screw enough that the mechanism could actually slide past it. I ended up having to drill new holes and use the extra screws provided to secure the slides/bracket. Then, I had one of the cam bolts pull straight out of the wood when attaching the pieces that connect the two parts of the back of the desk with the cam locks. I was able to work around it by drilling out the original hole, inserting an anchor, and then screwing the cam bolt into that. I would have reservations about purchasing this desk/brand again because of all of the issues with assembly and apparent quality of the parts. I purchased this to try it out in an odd space (corner) in my sunroom and the size seemed perfect to put it at an angle. The “Pros” are that it was a really good choice space wise and it looks nice, is sturdy and pretty solid. It did take some effort and my own tools to put it together but I got the job done and no problems whatsoever so definitely a “Pro” for that too. Lastly, the price was extremely attractive as well. In the “Cons” category - I would have given 5 starts except it said marble and it is a marble look finish. I did not see where it says FAUX or IMITATION marble (maybe it does but I purchased thinking it had a marble top). It still looks nice and will wear well and I am still happy with it. The other “Con” is that the walnut colour is darker than it looked in the picture and it is a tad dark for my room but I am going to use a buttermilk wash on it to lighten it up… AND I am still happy with it so it gets 4 start and I would recommend it as a bargain. ... show more

Good desk for my daughter. I was worried when we received it because the box looked like it had been opened & then repackaged. All parts were thrown around, but everything was there & not scratched so we kept it. It took the weight of a 190 pound man who used it as a step stool for hanging lights so I would say it’s pretty sturdy! This desk is described as gray. Its definitely not gray. It’s more in the brown family with some gray in it. If gray is what you’re looking for, look elsewhere. It was pretty easy to put together. Seems sturdy so far. Besides the color. It’s good.
