    • Gorgeous patio table but assembly not simple!

The table is very sturdy. It’s really pretty. The leaf insert is a nice option and hides inside the middle section when not in use. It took us just under 2 hours using a power drill with an allen wrench type bit attachment. The pre-drilled holes aligned well. We didn’t have any issues. We used the provided allen keys to tighten the bolts but otherwise, used the drill. There are a bunch of parts and I recommend that two people do the assembly. It’s a lovely walnut color. It has a strong varnish odor so it’s sitting outside on the patio. We’ll be using it inside in the dining area once the odor subsides. I don’t think that’ll take very long in the hot South Texas sun! This is a bargain! I’ve looked at tables for a while. This is by far the best value. I’m giving the ease of assembly 3 stars simply because I don’t think assembling this table with the provided allen key is practical or reasonable. It really takes 2 people and a drill. I’m happy with my purchase! Update 06/24/21: the table has been outside exactly 2 weeks and the smell of varnish has completely dissipated in the hot Texas sun. It’s coming inside today. The finish is also improved tremendously. It was slightly tacky right out of the box but is satin smooth now. Love It!!!!! Update 12/12/2023: Additional info. The hole for the umbrella is only available with the leaf inserted. The table seats 4 comfortably without the leaf since the ends are flush with the supports when the leaf is not in use. It will seat 8 comfortably with the leaf inserted. We use the table indoors so no idea how it would hold up outside. This table doesn’t fold once it’s assembled. It expands easily and one person can do it without help. It also is just narrow enough to fit through a standard sliding glass door without having to tip it over when transporting it from the dining room to the patio. Once assembled, it’s very sturdy with no wobble after 3 years of daily use. ... show more

This table is a great purchase and superseded my expectations. Great purchase. Everyone is amazed when I tel them I got it on Amazon. Highly recommend! Pros- Value for the money, looks so nice, color match is perfect, leaf mechanism is easy and works perfect, sturdy, very wheelchair friendly when the leaves are out (easy to roll right under the ends). Cons- no umbrella hole when the table is set to the small size, assembly was more time than I expected (wasn’t difficult, just a lot of steps) ... show more

May 08, 2020. Update The paint started to come out in several spots since a few weeks. ----------- So it arrived this morning and took me 50min to ensamble it. Because I put 2 parts wrong and loose some time taking it apart and doing it again. I do recommend to check the next steps every time to see which position parts actually go. The clips to leave it open, one, the screw crack the top, as you can see in photo. And one of the frames for the top, the screw just turns loose, for some reason, those are my 2 complains... That I wish I could replace, other than that, really nice looking table!. Will update in a while!. ... show more

This table was pretty straight forward to put together. I did find it doesn't specify what sides face which ways. This is important for 2 pieces. 1. the leg assemblies - the screw holes on opposing sides must match up accordingly or you will find yourself disassembling later on to correct and 2. The center piece with 1 tiny screw hole that fastens to the center insert - if it is in backwards you will have to disassemble a large portion of the table at the end to correct. I wish I could provide specifics and photos to assist but I am writing this review some time after I assembled. Most of all, take your time, don't tighten parts until you are sure you have things together (made it easier when I had to correct parts), and enjoy your awesome table! Over all, the table went together easily and is sturdy. Most importantly, Looks amazing. I purchased the chevron chairs and bench to go with it! ... show more

Pros: - Table looks very nice. - decent for the price - great size - beveled feet give it a more sophisticated look than similar generic tables Cons: - Not very easy to assemble - several of the pre-drilled holes were in the entirely wrong place, and one half of the top was so warped it took hours to force the table together. - I was looking forward to easily switching between sizes, but the warped shape of the top makes it a two-person job to convert the table. - There were several chips in the paint/stain upon arrival, which I’m sure will worsen with time. The table is poor quality. I should have returned it immediately when one of the latches that is included did not work properly (could not close even though it was installed in the spot that was pre-drilled for the latch; metal on latch actually bent because it could not be closed since the pre-drilled holes were not spaced properly). Within one month of having the table it began splintering in various locations, and this has only gotten worse (see pictures). Just past the second year of use and the entire table is breaking down despite using the recommended teak oil to treat it. The material is flimsy and clearly not actual teak. One of the chairs that we bought to go with the table snapped along the back from simply leaning back on it. We have a shade sail over the table area so the table gets very little direct sun, yet it has not held up. I would not recommend this set for anyone that wants lasting outdoor furniture. ... show more
