Much nicer than the picture. For me it was much darker than the picture, but that matched my existing furniture so that was great. I'm pretty handy and it took me pretty much a whole day to do it by myself. Lots of parts to put together. Take your time it will be worth it.

It is a beautiful piece of furniture and catch the eye of everyone who visit our home. It took us some time to assemble but the result was great. It is easier if you assemble and move it between two people

    • Good solid wood piece for the price, but poor quality control
Nice solid wood stand that came packaged nicely with no damage to pieces before assembly. However, some dowel holes were drilled off center by 1/8 inch meaning that the boards would not line up unless you were to make the holes bigger. This caused cracks and chips in the wood resulting in a defect in the exterior. I will have to use wood putty to patch it up, but if this piece had better quality control and/or manufacturing this piece would have been 5-stars. Also, save yourself time and use a drill - the instructions say not to since it's very easy to over-tighten with a drill, but you can use the drill to tighten the screws most of the way and then hand-tighten from there. ... show more

Received this item, and 4 pieces were heavily damaged, with large cracks down the middle, and some with large pieces of wood cracked right off...no big deal, I'll message the manufacturer and get replacement parts. It's now been 3 weeks of emailing back and forth and this still has not been resolved. Each time I receive a new email, "Jamie" asks for something else, whether it be a picture of the broken pieces, the Amazon order number, picture of the instructions packet, etc, instead of asking for all of those things at once, to resolve this sooner. It's been a headache altogether. Now I am being told that neither the parts or the whole unit are available until February, so now I have large wooden pieces taking up my living room and apparently will, until February at the earliest. I am annoyed to say the least. Just stay away from this company. ... show more
