I bought this earlier this year and just realized that I never uploaded my review. This piece is a great price considering the costs of a ton of shelving out there that isn't nearly this nice. (I looked for a long time!) The biggest draw for me was that it looked stylish and had a bit more height than most entryway tables. It's heavy duty and feels very sturdy. I put it together by myself in a few hours. One of the leg pieces was bent by the bracket where it bolts to the corner of the shelf but wasn't hard to hammer back straight to fit. Took less than 5 minutes to fix. It's in my living room and can be seen as soon as you walk in. I have received SO MANY compliments on this piece and they are always shocked when I tell them I ordered it from Amazon. I highly recommend it even with the small issue of the bent area of the leg. It didn't have a ton of reviews when I bought it but I took a chance on it and am so happy that I did. It's one of my favorites in my new house. ... show more

I was searching for a bookshelf to fit in a small bedroom that would provide lots of storage. It also needed to have raised legs and not rest flat on the floor as the heating/cooling vent would be obstructed. I searched stores, websites, and quite by accident found this one on Amazon. At first we received an obviously used bookshelf with minor damage and missing hardware. Since it was sold through Amazon it was a quick return and exchange for a new one. The second one was in perfect new condition and arrived early. I put it together by myself with a power screwdriver. Probably took about an hour. Its pretty sturdy now that's its heavily loaded with books. Its on padded carpet so I probably should have leveled the legs a bit but its fine since we don't have very young kids in the house. Its nice that the height on the middle shelf can adjust. I wish the top would too. The only books that fit up there are my kids' paperback chapter books. All the other books are just a bit too tall. ... show more

Love the look and its stable. For the price...I didn't expect to see the pressed wood on some of the pecies. the assembly directions need to be clarified a bit but it wasn't too hard to assemble.

Took under 1.5 hours for a 26 y.o. girl to assemble on her own, though I agree with the instructions that making this a two person job would have been quicker. But I did it! Some of the larger planks were cracked and splintering so I reached out to Walker Edison directly to request a partial refund because I didn't want to wait for replacement parts. I got a generic email with instructions on how to submit a request for replacement parts. I replied with my initial request for a partial refund, but no response since then. So overall it's an attractive piece, but lack of real customer service made this a bit disappointing. I'm keeping this bookshelf because of the labor and time put into this, but I'd caution others to beware for some broken parts you'll likely need to replace. ... show more
