This rake is great I had it get stuck in one part of the twist on and off pieces as I disassemble it after each use... well try to it took a bit to get it separated and two vice grips... mind you this was likely my fault as I have a tendency to over tighten things. I love that it's in four sections meaning I can change the length of the rake and the handle pieces, I work in Southern AZ as a ranch hand I put this through some really tough work earlier this year using it to dig down into our very hard and dry soil, in some places it had smaller rocks mixed into the hard soil... the tine's are all intact and unbent the individual pieces of the handle are all in excellent shape 6 months in with very heavy use... that I honestly expected to beat the rake up quite a lot... Screw together handle is great on paper. Sadly, the real-world application is lack luster. It bends to one side with moderate use. I emailed the maker, have not heard back. Will be filing a claim.

This rake comes in 5 pieces. The pole is quick and easy to assemble. Each section of the pole fits inside the other pieces and screws/twists to secure it in place. The pole is thick but hollow so feels substantial but not heavy. The rake attaches to the bottom with two bolts. It took no more than 5 minutes to out together. It feels sturdy once assembled and is easy to use. It’s also very tall so saves me from having to bend or work on my knees or while kneeling, so it has made cleaning up my garden beds in prep for the Spring so much faster and easier. ... show more

    • Best rake I've ever owned BY FAR!!
This rake is just the best, bar none. The second I unboxed it, I immediately thought "Why haven't I seen this design before?!". Firstly, it comes disassembled, and all fits in a small box about the size of the head of the rake. It's all metal construction and simply screws together, with the only screws needed are to tie the rake head to the bottom pole piece. So if you ever want to store it in a small space for a season, it will take up very little room. This thing can take a huge beating! Traditional rake designs have the wooden pole pressed into the rake cone feature, and eventually pulls out, rendering it useless. With this one I know this won't happen since it's screwed together! Now I know every time I use this to pull out a bunch of weeds or ivy it'll be a champ the whole time! Get one you won't be disappointed! ... show more

Strong and heavy, the steel tines are legit. More than sufficient for garden/yard work. Assembly was simple. The only downside is that the handle comes in sections so, as you can see in the pictures, there are joints along it that aren't particularly comfortable to hold; not to say they're egregious or unbearable: with work gloves on I didn't notice them at all. ... show more

This is a great rake. I love how it is heavy enough to do the job, but lightweight enough not to be taxing. Unlike many bow rakes, this one has short tines on the top that can be used, too. I like to use the short ones to help level garden soil once I'm finished raking out the debris. The rake was very easy to assemble, and the handle has a nice rubber grip. ... show more

This rake arrives in 5 easy to assemble pieces - the handle screws together and the rake is attached with two screws and two bolts (small wrench and tool to screw included). Measures 63 inches tall and 17 inches wide on the rake end. The handle is rubberized and provides a good grip and I like the three plastic dividers on the handle which also provide an area to grip without sliding. Easy to shorten this rake by removing one section of the handle. It rakes well in loose soil and moves compost easily about the garden. Not great for wet leaves- wrong type rake. The angle of the actual rake is 90 degrees, but each of the 17 prongs on the rake angle back to help catch the dirt. The prongs are 1 inch apart and flat. The rake can multi-function by using the top side of the rake head to sow 1/2 inch deep rows in sand or fine soil. No exposed metal- all painted black.
