  • Picky Eaters Love The Taste
My dogs love this food so much that I just purchased a second batch. I have two senior dogs and one young Huskie. All three of them come running when they hear the pull tab being lifted up. It causes minimal gastral distress and so far, no surprises left in the house. My dogs are usually very picky and leave half the food still in the bowl. Not the case with Wag canned dog food. Yes, I know it looks gross and smells terrible, but to my dogs this is like candy, but hopefully more nutritious. ... show more

  • Well, their dogs like it So...........
We had a slight error on this delivery, instead of ending up in PA, the dog food ended up in Idaho. A few days before I ordered this, I had ordered a birthday present for my girlfriend's granddaughter. I ordered something else a couple days later and it arrived as expected. However, four orders later ended up going to Idaho for a yet to be explained reason. Three of the orders will get to me in about a month when they fly in but the dog food stayed there. Now I needed to order another twelve cans for my fussy pup. Hopefully he'll like it as much as their three dog did plus their cat! I only rated it a four star since I personally haven't found out if mine is going to like it as much as theirs. However, getting rave reviews, I hope to be able to raise it to a 5, when my boy chows down. ... show more

  • Mr. Dean loves it!
Wanted a dog food to give to Mr. Dean when his tummy is upside. This worked great. I can pronounce every ingredient. Starts with protein then goes down to veggies and vitamins. Nice pate texture with some chunks of carrot. My dog loves carrots! The food doesn’t smell bad either doesn’t have that typical “dog food” smell. Only complaint is the portions needed to feed a 65 pound dog. It would take four cans according to the chart. ... show more

  • Great! Ingredient label is great!
Great wet food for dogs! First and foremost, it is made in the USA. I really appreciate this. I do not trust dog products made from most other countries. I love that there are no artificial fillers or preservatives. I love that I can pronounce and know exactly what the first 10 ingredients are. I feel safe feeding my dogs all those ingredients, whether separate or combined like this food. I really appreciate products that pride themselves on feeding dogs healthy balanced food. This is definitely one of those companies. My dogs seem to enjoy the wet food and haven't snubbed their noses at it yet. I recommend. ... show more

  • It's kind of gross looking. Also, peas are in the first five ingredients.
We usually stick to Hills Science Diet for our dog, because they're only one of two dog foods that have specialized nutrition for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Also, they are world renowned when it comes to nutritional research on pet foods, quality control, and doing extensive feeding trials. Not only that, I know their production facilities is absolutely amazing and sparkling clean. Royal Canin, Hills, and Purina are really the only dog food brands that I trust. But, when I saw this come up, I figured I would give another brand a go. I was dismayed, though, to see peas listed in the first five ingredients. The first five ingredients are the most important, as they tell you what the bulk of the dog food contains. So, why was I dismayed with peas? If you've been keeping up with the news regarding diet related DCM in dogs, then you may be aware that legumes, including peas, are possibly implicated somehow: " Thus far, studies suggest that high levels of peas and lentils in the diet seem to be the strongest predictor for development of diet-associated DCM, and numerous compounds are being investigated to help identify the specific cause and mechanism. While the specific cause has been challenging to identify, our current hypothesis is that compounds in these ingredients may have toxic effects on the heart." And, although a recent clinical study in Canada seems to have ruled out the DCM / pea connection, there are very troubling issues with that study. Namely, it was sponsored and funded by various PULSE associations of Canada, which already makes you wonder. Secondly, the controls and time frame used were not confidence inspiring. Needless to say, you should still be worried about peas and legumes in your dog food, if they are found in the first five ingredients. ... show more
