When I saw this WAG option during the Prime special sale, happy days! Now I just had to hope Soff approved - she’s very discriminating… The 3” pieces are not too hard. I can break them into smaller pieces by hand rather than needing scissors to cut them. She is absolutely thrilled with them and will actually ask for a snack; she’s not a beggar at all. Her friend, Wyatt, an 8 y.o. Cocker, is equally enamored and he is a giant beggar. He fairly drove us crazy Wednesday night during our weekly card game which became Duck Jerky Snack night. My very picky, stubborn doodle loves these treats. I only wish they came in bite size! I cut them up in small pieces for training, as they are the only treats that motivate her every time. I may forever smell like duck jerky from carrying these in my pocket wherever I go, but it’s totally worth it.

After buying these for months and months, I came back to read ingredients because my finicky chihuahua goes so wild for them I worried it was a crazy mix of something awful. As someone with a small dog, I've struggled to find truly tiny treats that I can use for daily training that will not make him roly-poly. Even the Pet Botanicals training reward 1 1/2 calorie treats can be split into smaller pieces and still be effective, but they tend to fall apart a little. I love these jerky treats from Amazon. The ingredients are simple, they're affordable ($8-12 for 1 pound depending on flavor as of this review), and my dog likes the taste a lot. We've tried the duck flavor and will be trying other flavors soon. The duck jerky is not an actual real piece of duck breast, and I'm sure the same goes for other flavors; it is clearly a processed, chewy rectangular log, with small indentations for easier portioning. However, that works great for training purposes as it's an even shape. I just dice it into tiny cubes, even smaller than the indentations suggest, and one piece of jerky can be 20+ pieces for a great low-calorie chewy nibble. They can go in a pocket or training bag and they won't fall apart and leave dust or crumbles, but they still stay a little moist and springy. Highly recommend. ... show more
