These things didn’t just hold down my drip line—they pinned it down like it owed them money. The installation was a breeze. I simply pushed them into the ground, and the stakes went in like they were made for it (which, let’s face it, they were). My drip line now sits so snug and secure, I’m half convinced it could survive a herd of stampeding buffalo. I tested their hold by giving the line a good tug, and the staples didn’t even flinch. Not today, not ever. With 200 in the pack, I went overboard and secured every inch of my line. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s now more fortified than my garden fence. Bought to hold down outdoor decorations that were blowing away, this didn't work for my application but not to be deterred I used them instead for their *intended* purpose of securing landscaping fabric and they worked perfectly. Sized appropriately to be driven into the ground, they're plated or coated so as not to rust. I covered the fabric with mulch and they're no longer noticeable. The metal landscape staples are shiny and does not have a matted look like most galvanized metals. The staples are easy to pound into the ground unless you have some rocks. I had a few bend when I encountered a small rock. The staples are easy to straightened out and re-use. The reason for the average Overall rating is that I am not sure I got what I ordered. The stakes I received were nice and met my needs; however, they were in a plain, unmarked brown box, with no indication of manufacturer. So, did I get WAENLIR stakes, or a “generic” 6 inch, 11-gauge stakes?
