If you want a utilitarian place to hang your waders/boots then this works but really lacks in structural stability. The hanger consists of two pieces welded together to create the overall hanger. The mounting piece consists of three tabs which extend above a metal 5/8” rail located 8 inches apart located along the rail. Good news is the outer tabs are 16 inches on center to let you screw these into studs within the wall. Bad news is the hanger portion (which takes the stresses of hanging boots/waders) is welded to this plate at only three points directly under the tabs. The remainder of hanger actually has an air gap between the hanger portion and the rail (as seen in the second picture). This design has an unfavorable impact on the overall rigidity and stability of the hanger so although it will hold a boot or wader it has a lot of flex and although functional is really a run of the mill hanger. Rating this three stars because it functions as intended (for now) but would recommend you look for something more robust. ... show more
