I absolutely love the look this bra creates. I do not find it to cause "cone boobs", although I can see how if someone perhaps was trying to squeeze into a too small cup it might have that effect. My natural cleavage is close, and the bra did not space me too far apart. That said, this is not a cleavage creating low cut top type of bra. It does not push up, and is not like a balcony or half cup style bra that creates a more rounded shape. This bra brings everything straight forward. If you're looking for projection, this is great bra. It has a two part cup, with the seam going horizontally across the middle. I personally do not care for molded seamless cup bras. The bra is so feminine for a full cup style bra. I'd purchased it for everyday type wear and think its lovely for that. It might not appear super sexy, but under clothing it certainly creates a super sexy profile. The matching panties are very feminine as well. I have this bra in black, heather pink, and also in cappuccino, and feel that the cappuccino is the prettiest. I rarely reach for the black, I wish it was all black. The black is black lace over a sheer white netting, while the cappuccino has a nude/taupe type net under the lace that makes the bra appear more sheer, as the skin looks to be more exposed, even though its really not. The pink is a nice pastel pink (more about color choices below). This bra will show at the top if you have a low cut or sort of low but wide neckline. One thing I've noticed is that these bras tend to feel tight in the band. You might want to consider ordering "sister sizing" (go up a back size and down a cup size) if you're undecided. For reference I have a 31.5" rib cage, and most often wear a 34G (US and UK sizing). The cups for this bra fit me perfectly, the band was snugger than I like. I chose to stay with my back size and may use a bra band extender until the bras stretch out some. This style has been offered in various colors over the years, so, if you're purchasing from a reseller, its a good idea to make sure you're getting the color you think you are, especially if you're matching panties to it. I know it was once offered in a heather pink, which is a pale pink, and also carnation pink which is brighter and darker. Currently Amazon is showing it in cappuccino and toast, and these are completely different shades from each other. I think the most current color offering by Wacoal is ivory.

I cannot say enough good things about the Wacoal Women’s Plus Size Retro Chic Full Figure Underwire Bra! This is hands down the best bra I have ever owned—and at this point, it’s the only bra I ever want to buy again. From the very first time I put it on, I knew it was worth every single penny. The fit is absolutely phenomenal. As someone who wears a 36H, finding a bra that actually supports, lifts, and shapes without digging in or slipping has always been a struggle. But this bra does it all with ease! The underwire gives amazing structure without being uncomfortable, and the lace detailing is not only beautiful but also surprisingly durable. It manages to be elegant and sexy while still giving me the everyday support I need. What blows me away the most is how comfortable it is for all-day wear. No slipping straps, no pinching, no constant readjusting—it stays exactly where it should and makes me feel put together from the moment I put it on until I take it off at night. My clothes fit better, I feel more confident, and I actually look forward to wearing it (something I never thought I’d say about a bra). Yes, it has a higher price tag, but honestly, it’s worth every dollar. I’d rather have one of these than five cheaper bras that don’t deliver. Wacoal nailed it with this design, and I don’t see myself ever going back to anything else. If you’re on the fence—trust me, just get it. You’ll fall in love too.

This is a very nice bra that gives a real nice fit. The way it fits is it makes you look as though you have perky breasts. The bra lifts you and shows nice cleavage under a low cut blouse. If you are looking for a good bra I highly recommend this one. The company I purchase this from: Isaac Sultan and Sons, has great customer service. I would first of all suggest that you call the bra company and do a phone fitting with a tape measure. I did this with Wacoal and the lady that fitted me over the phone was so helpful and patient with me. It turns out that I've not been wearing the correct size all these years I thought I was a 42D and I measured a 38-40DDD which surprised me. Well now I know my correct bra size. Before I did the phone fitting I ordered the size I thought I was and asked Isaac Sultan and Sons is they would do an exchange for my correct size, I sent the bra back (tags intact) and they refunded my money, then I ordered the correct size (actually two). When they arrived I tried them on and one of the colors showed through my shirt, again they let me return it. Yes, I had to pay a whole $3 out of my pocket to send it back but it was worth it because of the excellent customer service I received.

I'd worn Wacoal bras for years always bought Arabesque and then they discontinued that style...spent a few years trying various French bras paying a small fortune each time and always being dissatisfied. Although they brought Arabesque back a while ago, I decided to try this retro chic style as I felt that I needed the additional support...so I ordered one Wacoal Women's Plus Size Retro Chic Underwire in my usual 36DDD and it's perfect. As noted by other reviewers the band is tight but by putting it on with the hooks in the middle it's perfect and I was afraid that by ordering a 38 band that the cups would also be wider and I might lose the side fit under my arms as while I am 5'5" I have a short torso and am mainly legs so I was afraid that a wider band would give me a bra with a wider band would result in the underwires that dig in under my arms. Turned out the 36DDD is literally the "perfect bra" perfect lift, separation and comfort. One other thing that might be helpful as I was concerned, the 3" rise was a worry as I have what's apparently know as a "high tummy" again because I am short waisted and have a very small ribcage the bra is designed to not be uncomfortable at all. One last caveat if you want a bra with decolletage this is not the bra for you. This is a full coverage bra. It is lovely, feminine, comfortable but if you want to flash your "girls" probably not the bra for you. I've read some reviews that mentioned problems with the straps or puckering across the nipple and while it could be a fault in the bra you received...here's how a bra fitter back in the old days taught me to put a bra on initially...attach the hooks, turn the bra around, lean over and put your breasts into the cups with the nipple placed at the center seam, and let your breast fill the cup, one you have found the fit then holding the cup have someone adjust the straps to hold that position...the weight of your breasts will also hold the straps in place assuming you have correctly selected the fit. As a pre-teen, I woke up one morning (it seems) and went from wearing a Mickey Mouse undershirt to have breasts...my Mother took me to a lingerie shop where they had specially trained ladies who fitted bras...I was totally humiliated at the time but have blessed that woman several times over the years as from fitting a bra to putting it has been invaluable. There are several good websites to refer to regarding measuring to fit and advice as how to select bras for your particular breast shape. If you've never found a bra that's comfortable begin the search.

The bra is absolutely beautiful. I have been looking for this type of retro style, with lace and in powder blue color for a long time. I had one similar from another brand and loved it so much, but alas that bra has seen better days and needs replacing. I love everything about this bra except for how TIGHT the band is. I ordered my normal size, but it was a little tight to get on, after about 3 hours of wear I had to remove...it felt like I had a rubber band wrapped around me. It was painful and my skin felt raw around it. EDIT: I returned the previous size and ordered a size up. It fits perfectly in the band, but the cup size (even though i ordered the same cup size, larger band size) fits larger. I would suggest that you order up a band size and down a cup size for the perfect fit if it doesn’t fit the first time. As other reviewers stated yes this is a “grandma” type bra as in it is retro looking. I kind of like that about it. It feels a little pin-up/Marilyn with the slightly coned cup. There are women who want that look.

Great bra, with incredible support. Not the best looking on its' own, and there are no matching panties, so not what you could consider "lingerie", but under a shirt it looks better than anything else once you get comfortable with the perky torpedoes out in front of you. The overall effect is very slimming because it lifts you up and shows your waist better. The straps are not elastic at all, so expect some indentations on your shoulders. Takes a long time to break them in, but they hold up for a very long time even with daily use. This is probably my 6th of this line. I buy new a new one whenever I gain or lose weight only. Only one has worn out, and that was because the underwire came out. Bonus: they have started making them in colors other than your run of the mill basics (black, nude, white) that all bras for well endowed ladies seem to have only.

Fit like a glove and undetected comfort for 14 hours, then the band started feeling too tight & uncomfortable. Not sure how I expanded around the rib cage (no over eating or heavy food intake). This one is a 40DDD while previous are 38DDD with extender which also fit well, support well. Maybe the extender adds more than 2"! Still its a beautiful, well fitting cup with great support.

I found this style at Nordstrom rack in the blue color. It was pretty so I tried it on even though the cup size was too big and the band size too small. It fit miraculously. I went on Amazon and ordered my correct size. Wow! It fits comfortably with no sagging or bulging as the day wears on, whether I'm driving, sitting, or walking. The size is correct, even though my cup size is 1/2 size bigger on the right. (You know, how everyone is a little uneven on one side.) Once I washed it, it was even more comfy and not itchy or scratchy. I ordered three. I'm considering ordering more just in case this style gets discontinued, as so often happens with the best bras. They must last too long and lose the company money. I'm so happy I found these accidentally.
